Thanks for not naming names Ink. If not for running into someone who didn't change his lineup I'd seriously be concerned about running the table and going 0-14. Should have made this an annual keeper league, atleast then I could take the Connor McDavid of FF next year.

I agree with Tank on this one. You know what brings good players to Buffalo? Winning hockey games and if anyone has to be traded to continue this rebuild then so be it. If the rebuild goes according to play then nobody will care in 3 years what happened to Chris Stewart.

Thanks for the explanation. I was thinking in the Blue league it might be a reasonable idea to just drop your worst player for someone playing on say Wed. Then drop him for someone playing on Thurs etc.

Ok this sounds really dumb but I'm going to ask it anyways since this is my first year. If your usual guys arn't playing on a certain day you should put your bench players in their place right? Therefore, you pretty much always want the max players going that you can. I assume goaltending may be slightly more discretionary based on your averages.

Well said. The players and coaches absolutely will be trying to win every game. I can't even imagine TN not or else he would likely up and quit. But as you said, this comes down to Tim Murray. Who in the past has openly stated he can adjust his team at the trade deadline to ensure a successful tank. In Tim I trust and I think the Grigo case is only the first in sending guys to Roch in favour of 'player development'.

Sure there are fairweather fans of the Sabres (like anywhere). But I feel the Buffalo fan base has a great understanding of their current team. Look to the Prospects glorified scrimmage in June as an example. Sure it was free but the house was well over half full and it was only the young guns out there. People recognize the future of this team is in those prospects.

That's a similar situation to what happened with Grigo when he was sent back last year. Although I'm sure if London has the opportunity to get Zad back this year they will do what they have to do to make room for him.

He may have been one of the best players in the exhibition games that we all saw but I think it's crazy after 4 or 5 preseason games to think he is one of the best players on the team at this point. There was one centre spot open and they're giving the second overall pick the first crack at it with a 9 game audition. He got screwed over by the way Darcy handled him but I have no problem putting him in Roch for a few months.

I'm mildly surprised by the Grigo news as he has looked miles better than I thought he would in the games I did catch.
