I'm not one of the cap geek type guys on here. Are we still close enough to the cap floor that it could be an issue waiving some guys (i.e. Mes with his 4+ mil contract)?

I have no idea who the two imports London have are. But if Zad gets sent back to London he will be with the Knights. I'm sure one of the other guys will be waived/traded before Nikita. Edit - After checking out the Knights website they only appear to have one import player other than Nikita (whom is also listed on their roster)? http://www.londonknights.com/roster/index/team/14/season/51

Avoided this thread as I couldn't watch the episode on the ol PVR until last night. Fan friggen tastic start to the season. As had been mentioned, they pushed that slaughterhouse scene about as far as they could go. Very creepy.

Nice to see he hasn't fallen off. I didn't think he would be a one year wonder but we gave up a decent amount for him so this is great.

At this point why not? I'm a huge fan of Myers. I thought he was one of if not our best player before getting hurt last season. He's a very good player IMO. But it's been two years in a row where we have absolutely no scoring. The worst part is there is very little scoring even in the pipeline. The odds are we don't end up with McEichle so then what? We probably pick 3rd in which you absolutely cannot pass on Hannifan (D) at this point. We have high end prospects that play D and a trade for a guy like Mantha would give us a higher end forward prospect. I would also expect a 2015 first and maybe something else in the deal as well.

As bad as we are, I still feel like the Canes and a couple of other teams are just as bad. We are far from the odds on favorite for McEichle. It's a big game tonight. First real test of the season.

Oh this is going to be a fun year. I can see some long time posters really turning on each other this season. Even being a pro tanker I really can't wait for another 259 days until the draft so we can all go back to cheering on our team. But until then.....tank on boys :beer:

You can cheer for whoever you want but I know you are a big juniors guy like me and realize how big this draft is. Not only would the loss help one of our 3 firsts but it will also help with the tank as Carolina is a big team in the running for bottoming out. If you hate the Canes then don't fret over a couple of wins to start the year, there will be many losses coming their way this season. Edit - Just read your newest post and I am having some trouble understanding. I can completely respect you or anyone else not wanting to see Buffalo lose. But not wanting the Isles to lose is just baffling.

I agree that I think the Isles will be much better than what I'm hoping but you're not going to start defending Conacher I hope. He's been an absolute disaster since leaving TB, we literally saw that when he was here. Edit - Now I see you are rooting for the Isles to make a point? Dude you are probably right in what the Isles will do this year but you should be happy with being wrong on this one. Its our pick.

Hey Claude, don't forget to shine a lazer pointer in JT's eye :P One might say that fans cheering blindly for mediocrity and do not have any patience are not true fans. By the way I'm a protanker and have tix to 6 games this season. Taking the whole family to each and every one of them. Far cry from a STH I guess but being 2.5 hours away this is the best I can do. Bill still came to over a grand.

Doesn't look like it's been talked about much but I loved Weber going after the Blue Jacket immediately after Reinhart got smoked. I usually hate guys that start fights after a clean hit but when your highly touted young prospect gets nailed then I appreciate him jumping into the fray. I thought Weber actually played alright last night. Much better than I had expected.

I agree with giving him a few more games even though he does not look physically ready at all. But you can't bring him back up again until after his junior season has been completed and even then you wouldn't because it would burn a year of his ELC. Once he goes back, it's for the season.
