  1. I'm only half way through it but what an interesting read.
  2. Sorry ink, I'm playing you with Wheaton this week so I feel I cannot respond in good faith. I'm loving Benjamin's game so far, I think he could be a huge late round steal. Speaking of rookies, I'm also loving Brandin Cooks. But do I start Cooks over Crabtree for my flex??
  3. Sorry to hear about your daughter. Being a somewhat new dad it is unreal how much each small action they make affects you. I can't even imagine. Sounds like your wife is taking this hard (which is expected). You have to be strong man. Sorry to hear.
  4. Love the last sentence. Very true.
  5. But tank, the experts are favoring the Dolphins to win this one http://www.footballlocks.com/nfl_odds.shtml Hahahhaha just joking man.
  6. Likewise. I still think Gio is a good to great RB in a year where there seems like few and far between but I would be leery of his touches going forward is all. I wish I had him so we could work something out. I ofcourse could be completely wrong though. Would be far from the first time, just ask my wife haha.
  7. I think I have to disagree with you on this one Hank. I do like Gio. I drafted him last year in the middle rounds and he was an excellent RB2 and even Flex on one team. However, Cincy ran Green-Ellis out there early and often despite Gio looking great last year. Then what did Cincy do in the offseason? They go spend a second round pick on one of the top running backs in the draft. That doesn't scream "Gio, you're our every down back." Therefore I think a bunch of touches has to go somewhere else and the obvious somewhere will be Jeremy Hill. I accept the Week 1 excuse of he's a rookie and you're playing a tough division rival on the road. I think by mid season this will be a full fledged timeshare. Gio is 5 foot 8, Hill is 6 foot 1. I think as the season goes along Hill will get substantial goal line work as well as first and second down looks. Gio will still end up with great stats by years end but with Hugh Jackson running the show in Cincy (run first OC) there will be plenty of touches to go around and Gio can't handle them all. According to NFL.com Hill is only owned in 67% of leagues. If he's available in yours I advise you pick his ass up and thank me later.
  8. Well I put in the claim for Garcon and will drop Tate. Man I hope that doesn't come back to haunt me.
  9. Thanks for the advice. It just hurts dropping someone whom I spent a mid round pick on (Tate) when my RB quality is so poor. I love the prospect of Hill even if Gio doesn't get hurt. Green Ellis had so many carries last year and I feel like Hill is the guy who will take that roll. I realize that didn't happen Week 1 but I love the probability of more touches as the season goes on (even without a Gio injury). I feel like Gio is more of a Vereen type player who does better catching the ball but doesn't exactly have the frame to take a bunch of carries up the middle.
  10. So someone in my league dropped Garcon and someone else dropped Sanky. I don't love Sanky but I feel like he should be rostered and Garcon is a WR2 in my eyes. Problem is I am weak at rb. After Charles I have Gerhart, Spiller, Tate, West, Ridley and Jeremy Hill. Is there someone from that group I can drop for Garcon? My WR are Nelson, Marshall, Sanders and Welker. Non PPR. I don't love any RB outside of Charles but I could see all of them having value. Do I drop anyone for Garcon or Sanky?
  11. I was just going to say....nobody want Forsett? I may have lost week 1 but I have all the confidence in the world that I am still winning this league.....
  12. You take BPA with any/all picks in the top 10 IMO. Outside of that you lean to forward unless there is a guy you absolutely love on D sitting there.
  13. Thanks Chz I'll look a bit harder this year. I remember searching around last year and couldn't find any much cheaper than the Hyatt. Thing is I want to be downtown (walking distance to arena) and there aren't too many deals there. Except January, prices always seem much lower that whole month.
  14. The tickets aren't the expensive part, it's the stay at the Hyatt everytime because let's face it, I'm not going to the game and not having a few overpriced beers. The only nice thing is you Americans have way cheaper booze which makes up a little bit.
  15. Cash to the Cap. I'm so glad I will never have to hear that ###### phrase again!
  16. I usually get to between 2 and 5 games a year and generally sit in the 300's. To tell you the truth I love the atmosphere up there and you can see well from anywhere in the building.
  17. Ya that Denver / Rams situation is strange. I guess there are quite a few out there. Thanks for the info 11.
  18. I was not thrilled to see TPegs in the running for the Bills a couple of months ago as I did not want his focus to be taken away from the Sabres. However, after some pondering, maybe it will be good to take a bit of focus away from the team (meddling). Also, this will finally give the Bills some hope. Are there any other owners out there that own multiple professional sports teams?
  19. I'd be shocked if any team picks him up. Career over?
  20. I know this looks bad saying this after such a poor performance yesterday but I can't believe Charles fell to you at 6. He will bounce back. Don't think he'll be near last years totals but he is still a great player.
  21. It is nice when they're close, unlike my game where Dennis took me back to the woodshed.
  22. So Romo, Brady and Tate killed me today.....
  23. Oh man, Brady was last falling to the 6th - 8th rounds in most of my drafts. Unless it's a 2QB league or abnormally high scoring for QB's then it would have (obviously) been better to wait. Oh well, season is just beginning and I'm sure some guys will do better than project and some worse. Good luck. So I jumped in our league to check your team and expected it to be bad but man you look very solid. Definitely a chance to compete for the title in this one.
  24. I'm completely on board with ensuring handicap friendly devices/spots are respected but I'm not sure the automatic door opener is one. Is this a separate door or just the regular door and people are hitting the button? I work in a fairly large office and there are people in and out constantly and on the way in it's a pull motion. I always feel bad for not standing and holding it for the person behind me as there is always someone coming but usually atleast a few seconds back. Rather than stand and wait everyday or be a jerk I'll usually hit the button as I'm going in so as to keep it open for the person behind me. I don't think that's a d*ck move. Completely agree with those taking the elevator up one floor. Don't be lazy. I work on the fifth floor and take the stairs twice a day. I'm still out of breath at the end though and it's been a year and a half. Not sure it's been helping with stamina haha.
  25. Oh man JJ that's a rough looking team. How many are in your league? Where did you pick and I can't even guess who you took second.
