Am I the only one who thinks this will be a tight game? Team has played very well the last two games and seems to have turned a corner over the past month.

Why can't they win the cup? Good lord I hope not but they are not a bad hockey team. I'm all about the Sabres trading anyone with a pulse in a season like this. Kane has 4 goals since Thanksgiving. He's put on a better disappearing act than Penn and Teller out in Vegas.

I have to give props where it's due. Liger has raved about this guy since almost the day he was drafted. He's a 7th round pick and I just gave it absolutely zero attention. He may still turn into nothing but he's certainly on my radar now and I'm very much looking forward to seeing what he can do in NA next season.

That's a good point. When I started watching the highlight I didn't know which guy was mittlestadt until he made that sweet move at centre ice and just knew that had to be him.

Well I've been coming down here for years now. Usually around 3 or 4 games per year. I always stay until the end, can never understand the fans who leave early to beat the traffic. Until today. I left after the second period. Couldn't watch the third. Rather spend time at the hotel pool than hear the Dallas fans in the arena giddly high fiving. What a disgrace......

I'm with you dudacek. The core is rotten and Kane and O'Reilly are the first guys I'm looking at. With lord and savior Casey on the way and our horrendous D, I would be all in on trading those guys for a young dman or two.

I'm trying to pretend Nylander doesn't exist. If he contributes in a few years great. I'm not counting on it. It's picks like that that set this franchise back enormously. Even if he was in Roch all year but playing well the hope/anticipation for next season would be back. Right now I have no hope for next year as Casey lord and savior should spend one more year in either NCAA or Roch.
