  1. Not quite what I had in mind, but I guess we'll all go with that.
  2. Finally came 2 the realization that I may never have kids of my own and I am at peace with it. Absolutely fantastic!
  3. There are lots of classics I wish I'd read in my younger days. Then again, there are some things I've learned about myself that I didn't know all those years ago. FML sometimes.
  4. Murphy's Law: Never count on the team you hate the most to do you any favors.
  5. I know you guys have to be really chomping at the bit with Tebow coming to the Jets. Even with the lousy year the Boy I Love Losing Seasons had, they crushed him and the Broncos - and that was the only time he and the boys in Orchard Park met last season. Now it'll be at least twice later this year.
  6. Well, talk about being facetious!
  7. 1, ever heard of Google? You could look it up. 2, That first sentence was actually hilarious! The second sentence is so true.
  8. I finally finised reading The Rage Against God. Very interesting and helpful read to say the least. I liked Peter Hitchens' British perspective on the subject matter because he warned that what happened in Britain and the Soviet Union (and its communist satellite states) could very well happen over here.
  9. Interesting... No, it didn't get me worked up. I thought it was rather creative. It could have been a lot worse.
  10. Prayers going your way. Now I know why you hold to a particular slant! I should have known you were a part of the MSM. j/k (or am i?)
  11. Hey, now! One of my favorite preachers that I listen to on podcast spent at least 45 years as a pastor in NJ. With Tebow and Jeremy Lin in NYC, now they're talking Linbow. I missed something. Who are you referring to?
  12. No. Just a Buffalo reading man with a sports problem.
  13. I'm not so sure about this. It's not just about the possible future neck injury or anything like that. I think they could wind up with something like a 1-1A QB situation. Kinda like what we had with Miller and Biron a few seasons ago (or even Johnson and Flutie).
  14. 1, people may not say it, but it shows from such distractions like American Idol. (What an apropos title for a program) 2, -less 3, Faith in what? The misery index? Pardon the digression. You may now return to your regularly scheduled thread.
  15. Nah. I don't feel like hanging around with cannabis brownies being sold by the girl scouts. :nana: Seriously, though. It seems like just because it appears that the Bills made a huge signing does not give me a whole lot of sense of optimism. We've all been fooled many times over. I guess many of us forgot the whole "fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice (and so on), shame on me" axiom. There's always my wife's team. At least they actually won it all a few years back.
  16. Well, good for you. I, on the other hand, don't feel like getting all that excited. After looking at all the buzz generated over "Hockey Heaven Hell" and seeing what's become of it, I certainly no longer want to be shamed by being fooled so many times over - whether it's Bills, Sabres, Bandits, or even Bisons. :bag:
  17. I've had thoughts that today could be my last day, and so on, and so forth. We never know when it's our time. We could be a world-class athlete and die from some congenital heart condition, or we could be corpulent and live to our 70's. Nonetheless, I do believe that our time has already been set. We just don't know when that will be for each and every one of us.
  18. This is from Jill Kelly's Facebook page: "NO DOUBT - today is a great day! GO BILLS! Welcome to Mario Williams and his fiance Erin. Praying for a blessed transition to the Buffalo area."
  19. If he signs with them, great. However, I'm not getting my hopes up whatsoever. I have to wonder if he'd be better off in New Orleans or Pittsburgh anyways.
  20. And they wonder why their parent company filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection last year. Something tells me you're not alone in this area when it comes to complaints for this airline. My complaint of the week: Piers Morgan. Excuse me, Mr. Morgan, but you don't invite people on with the impression that they're going to talk about a recent movie they made, only to question their mores and values and undermine where they appeal to authority. What he did to Kirk Cameron last week was flat out wrong, and it could be worse than what Rush Limbaugh did to Sandra Fluke. At least Limbaugh apologized to Miz Fluke. I've heard no such thing coming from Mr. Morgan's lips. It was subtle and deceptive, and I question if Morgan has a shred of integrity in him.
  21. Meh. Go Bills, and take the Sabres with you.
  22. I fail to see how bringing in Mario Williams is going to turn the franchise around. After all the letdowns since the Music City Miracle, why bother wasting my time with this once-proud team?
  23. This song has been stuck in my head for quite some time. It can choke me up too.
