  1. Nope. Most the time, I was commonly known as Crosschecking.
  2. To all in the Aud Club: Some of you new guys don't know who I am. The rest of you may remember who I am. For the record, no one told me to do this. I am doing this of my own volition. I apologize for my unbecoming behavior in the past. I said way too many upsetting and distracting things, and I am deeply sorry for that. I desire nothing but the best for everyone. GO SABRES!
  3. I'm sorry that you're not understanding the connection.
  4. Sure. Why not? What's good for the goose is good for the gander. It's so easy to call Obama's bluff. After all, who can forget his "punished with a baby" comment? Therefore, if he wants to prevent another Sandy Hook, then he should also put an end to the murder of unborn children. See how this is supposed to work? Oh, and BTW: May God have pity on all of our souls. After all, He will have mercy and compassion on some, and harden others.
  5. I haven't. Not once. Even when they had the telly playing at one of the terminals where I load gas into my tanker truck, I turned it off. I didn't want to hear about it - not because I wanted to tune out the whole incident. Rather, I have grown tired of hearing about things like this ad infinitum ad nauseum. But since we're on the subject of child murder, let's call their bluff. Oh, and lest anyone solely concentrate on what happened at Sandy Hook Elementary, this came out of the People's Republic of China on the same day. So, AFAIAC, excuse me for being so blunt, but all of you "gun control" nuts who seem to think that banning all private ownership of firearms will put things like this to an end once and for all can shove that argument up your collective ######. Good move right there.
  6. Michigan did the right thing by passing right-to-work legislation, and the governor is expected to sign it. Watching Obama squirm over this was fun too. Now, if only they would do the same thing in Albany.
  7. I can at least take solace that Christ is very much alive and well and sitting at the right hand of the Father. EDIT: Oh, BTW. His work is complete. Now, for my complaint. Godfather Politics posted this blog that highlights just how incredibly racist Jamie Foxx is with the attached video clip from SNL. If racism has no place in our society (let alone all the other ones throughout the world), then black racism certainly doesn't either. But, in their mindset, that's ok.
  8. Celtic music can be so fascinating. Never mind the Chieftains. Clannad popularized it hands down.
  9. Christiane Amanpour. That gal has to be one of the worst journalists out there. Watching her regurgitate the whole shtick about "global warming/climate change" over Hurricane Sandy with a Princeton University professor was extremely nauseating - especially since her interview was so one-sided. I might have had some respect for her had she included someone on the other side like Ken Ham or Dr. E. Calvin Beisner. Nope. They don't fit her narrative. Jamie Foxx. For him to declare Barack Obama as his personal Lord and Saviour is nothing short of blasphemy. The Paul Washer video that I posted on the Presidential Politics thread a few weeks ago proves his point that Foxx, like many others, are truly under God's judgment and wrath. I pity him. I really do.
  10. I agree with you but for different reasons. Now, for my F'N Fantastic Friday.y wife and I really love our new house. Yes, it was built in 1960, but it has a certain charm and craftsmanship about it that can't be seen in the cookie cutter houses being built these days, Also, it looks like our adoption classes will start in January. We can't wait! :)
  11. Dave Mustaine. Enough said.
  12. Makes me really glad that I don't live in NYS anymore. As much as I miss certain attributes from it, there are others that I don't. The cons outweigh the pros by a ton. My complaint for the week: Thanks to all the smiley faces out there, I'll never be able to read a book the old way again. I was in the middle of reading Tracts and Letters, Volume 1 by John Calvin and came across "; )" (without the space in between so that way it doesn't become an emoticon on here). Oh, for a simpler day and age :( EDIT: Oh, BTW. This is just sooooooooo wrong... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y_fFF50A53A&feature=share
  13. I find it rather amusing that someone (who is no longer friends with me on Facebook) compared me with Pat Robertson and Jerry Falwell. Oh, if only he knew about RJ Rushdoony. :D
  14. 1, You're right. I can't. Only God can. "He has mercy upon whom He will have mercy and compassion upon those whom He will have compassion." (Romans 9:15) I only mention it because I QFT. I just seek to call people to repent and believe the Gospel. Besides, I have no idea who belongs to Christ and who doesn't. 2, If you're referring to various codexes that existed back in "antiquity", then I am very much aware of them as well. Whatever variations there may be are not major - let alone minor - enough to discredit the sacredness and canonicity of Scripture. Give me some time. I'm going to have to look into it when time affords me to do so. I have to get ready for work right now as it is.
  15. Depends on which scholars you're talking about. Fixed the bolded part for you.
  16. I am not making mine better than yours. The fact is that no one can rightly exercise true justice, judgment, and reason apart from the proper application of Scripture - not even me. As for questioning with boldness the existence of "a god", "Woe be unto him who striveth with his Maker." (Isaiah 45:9a).
  17. Thanks, guys! :) As for the last quote, it doesn't matter. The nest has always been empty and we've been looking to fill the void for quite some time.
  18. I've given the elections quite a bit of prayer and thought. 1, I have no room to go about mocking and criticizing our elected officials. I never had this in the first place, and I should have come to this realization a long time ago. This is contrary to what our talking heads on talk radio have done (both on the Left and the Right), and it's been refreshing to break away from them. Had the talking heads taken into consideration how the Apostle Paul appealed to Caesar (and how we should too), that would have curtailed many problems that we have today. But, alas, they all have their shtick and an audience to keep - and this has not helped one bit. 2, The US Constitution is an open document and is subject to change with the times by sinful and unregenerate people. However, the Bible is NOT an open document and is NOT subject to change - and that I can have confidence in. We may have our disagreements, but what happened on Tuesday night blew those assumptions away to smithereens - and I can certainly agree with the bolded part. Ah, the Thomas Paine card again. IOW, "let me tell you how much Thomas Paine shook his fist at his Creator". Seriously? Respectfully, please come up with something better than that.
  19. The news isn't all bad tonight. Roy Moore is getting his old job back as Alabama Chief Justice.
  20. He was the kind of leader that England needed with the fallout of the Cavaliers and the Roundheads, for one. Second, my favorite theologian, John Owen, was Cromwell's personal chaplain. That's just for starters. Quite possibly. Things were pretty contentious 4 years ago on here as well. In retrospect, some of us have handled things a bit differently, while others haven't changed one bit.
  21. I say we go fight these Russkies with horses and bayonets.
  22. This sounds like a straw man argument that is seeking to dismiss warnings from history. Maybe I should have used a more recent reference like the Soviet Union. I haven't been following the Bills all season. Sounds like I'm not missing anything.
  23. That's if we see it in our lifetimes. Unfortunately, our children and/or grandchildren may very well witness it. We just don't know how it will happen.
  24. Wow! Was Paine that ignorant to not tell the difference between various houses of worship to where he couldn't call them synagogues, churches, and mosques respectively? No wonder he proved John Newton right! As it is, with all due respect, do you really expect me to take Paine seriously? Paine's vain words have no meaning to me. They do not determine my fate (although it looks like his has already been sealed). What means more to me is that Scripture has convinced me that I am a worthless sinner (like everyone else is) subject to the wrath and fury of Almighty God and that only His mercy has saved me and redeemed me from those things through the death, burial, and resurrection of His Son Jesus Christ my Lord.
  25. You're being facetious. You know what I'm getting at.
