I was so busy helping my best friend/wife in the kitchen prepping meals for much of this month that I didn't even take the time to catch up on yesterday's games. So, when I finally had the time, I looked this afternoon at around lunch time. WOW! I was shocked to see that Tennessee beat Baltimore. I'll be even more surprised if they defeat Kansas City next week.

I was thinking the same thing a few days ago. I just didn't want to say that.

I do what I can to avoid it as well. In retrospect, I realize that I got myself into needless heated arguments where I wound up getting in way over my head. Oh, and to add to that, I LOATHE political memes!

It still hits close to home whenever I think about the careless words I've said the past - whether it be here or anywhere else. I know that some of you are not religious. I get that. But I have to share this. There are those times where I've read or listened to Scripture numerous times, only to get hit in the face and my sin exposed. I drew a connection to where the Apostle Paul wrote about bringing every thought captive to the obedience of Christ and where James wrote that no man can tame the tongue. The long of it and the short of it is that it hit me like a ton of bricks.

I know. The Saints should have gone to the Super Bowl last year. Had that actually happened, they probably would have defeated the Patriots.

I think the Bills are going to get better next season. Making the playoffs 2 out of the last 3 seasons is way better than missing the playoffs 17 straight years.

I've never heard of the band Baphomet. Some of the guys I knew in high school tried to start bands, but I hadn't heard anything since over 30 years ago.

They've had some lineup changes over the years. Plus, now they're based out of Tampa, thanks to the metal scene down there.

Hopefully not Ristolainen. Unless I'm missing something, he's really stepped it up this season.

I've watched the Centuries of Torment video. Very humble beginnings indeed. Even Alex Webster said at the beginning that he couldn't believe how far they'd gone. We all know that many bands struggle to get a record deal - only to never get one. Theirs literally fell in their lap.

Pardon my "wet behind the ears" ignorance. I really had no idea that players could be traded in Juniors. I only found out about this last week when I tuned into The Instigators on my phone last week. (BTW, totally unsolicited props. I don't always get a chance to listen to that show. But, unless you guys know something that I don't, I think that Andrew Peters, Craig Rivet, and Martin Biron are excellent radio hosts.)

Um, I'm shocked that you've never heard of them. They are considered to be Death Metal legends.The original lineup was all from Buffalo. They were in Ace Ventura: Pet Detective. BTW, one of their guitarists, Rob Barrett, is a diehard Sabres fan.

I'm going to throw this "wild card" out there. I'm not a diehard Cannibal Corpse fan, but shouldn't they be in the RRHOF? They are legends in their field.

I can't remember who said it in this forum, since it was a number of years ago. I'll never forget the pejorative term that someone used against PLV. I can't bring myself to repeat it.

In other news, Jerry Jones FINALLY decided to fire Jason Garrett. So, I was watching this video about Garrett's firing and replacement. Someone (not me) made the comment that the NFL needs to have more coaching diversity, such as African American, Latinos, and even women. My response was Sure! Why not? Have Kelli Finglass and Judy Trammell as HC/OC. After all, they're already in the organization.
