  1. What do you call a man with no arms and no legs floating out in a lake? What do you call a cow with no legs?
  2. It definitely is. Art/collectible stuff is all stupid though. It’s incredibly stupid that people pay thousands of dollars for a painting or baseball card. People do it though.
  3. Whatever you say Boomer. It’s a digital thing. Im just kidding. I’m not really defending it as a good idea, cause I’ve no interest in that crap, but digital things can be things too. Is the digital file of a song a thing? Is a digital picture of your family a thing?
  4. Weird to describe an item that is inherently useless and doesn’t profess to have any use as snake oil. It’s not much different than buying any other “useless” thing. Like a hockey card, baseball card, bobble head, beanie baby, piece of art, etc.
  5. I highly doubt he will be there in round 2. Someone will take a chance on him in the back half of round 1. I don’t think I would be in favor of trading down, but maybe Buffalo snags a late 1st in a trade. I’d be all for taking him there.
  6. Its like a digital piece of art or memorabilia item. In this case, think of it as a rare hockey card, except it’s only digital.
  7. Not barefoot. They walked it on their skates.
  8. Some of you guys really worried about this?
  9. One more and Brady will tie Gordie himself. Should be named a Rick Tocchet hat trick I guess.
  10. @PerreaultForever @LGR4GM You guys a kind of swinging at the wind. Does anyone think that you can build a contending team on analytics and offensive players while neglecting the ability to play/withstand the physical and mental parts of the game? Does anyone think that Wayne Simmonds, or another aged, physical vet with very little left in the tank, makes a huge difference for Toronto, or is a key piece of a Cup contender? You guys are fighting against the ideas of you most dislike, not discussing what each other are actually saying.

  12. Just a note on this. Keep in mind that things like puck pursuit, compete, and positional awareness are skills too. Beniers has to be near elite in areas like that.
  13. Reinhart bounces one in off his stick, classic Reinhart, smh.
  14. Is pizza in Buffalo really that good? Why?
  15. Agree, but the question was specifically “if those 3 are gone”. I don’t worry about having two great LD. Could be like Ducks back in the day where they could play entire playoff games with one of Pronger/Neidermeyer on the ice pretty much at all times.
  16. No real offense, because it’s absolutely possible that you are correct, but this level of certainty in the future of 17-18 year old players is impossible.
  17. I think he will be a little less hittery and rank up fewer PIMs than Orpik, maybe (I hope) with more offense though.
  18. I for one am just glad that this thread is official. I’m tired of all the non-official Mattias Samuelsson threads.
  19. Yeah, I don’t think this lineup would need to worry about exiting the playoffs in first round. Especially not if Reinhart is moved and backfilled with a 2/3rd line winger.
  20. Slam dunk do it. Anyone who wouldn’t needs to look at the bigger picture. Risto for one season or Tuch for 5? Also, Tuch is having his best season (31 goal, 53 point pace!). There is no way this makes sense for Vegas. Buffalo would need to add.
  21. I’m optimistic. He has been a little up and down these first few games, but he is a very young D, just turned 21 last month, so no surprise there. I know that he has the reputation of big stay at home D, but he has actually produced decent offensive numbers at lower levels, something Borgen has never had for comparison. I’m curious to see if some of that translates. When he was drafted, I was concerned about his skating, but it seems like it’s going to be good enough for him. Hopefully he can be good enough in transition, great in front of the net and corners, pushing guys around and winning pucks, but then also making high quality breakout passes.
  22. I think it’s looking more and more like this is true.
  23. I don’t see why Risto should factor into this decision. Risto has just one year remaining on his contract, and the guy they pick is unlikely to be NHL ready. It’s likely that the pick and Risto are never on the roster at the same time.
  24. We agree. He was speaking about the losing streak. If asked about the organization overall, he probably would not answer openly. I don’t don’t know why this makes my sauce so weak. EDIT: Oh you think I was saying that there isn’t anything else negative about the organization apart from the recent losing streak? Hahahahahaha...............
