  1. Great game!!! Break out game for Mitts!!! Keep it up boys!!!
  2. If they will play with the same tenacity as they did last game they have a good shot at the win. Also if they would play this way the rest of the season I think we could win half the games to finish out the season.
  3. THAT IS HOW YOU PLAY HOCKEY!!!! Relentless and tenacious for 60 minutes
  4. Ok, I know I'm beating the same old drum, but is Anderson to old to play two games in a row with a day between or what. This game easily could have gone to overtime or even a loss for us if it hadn't been for Dahlia's empty net save when Tokarski was out in left field. Despite all that it was a very fun game to watch.
  5. Absolutely. IMHO Consistently letting in soft goals is death to a team. Eventually they will give up. You are not going to win many games if you have to score 4-5 goals every game.
  6. I am fed up with management. Is Anderson reinjured. I haven't heard that if he is. Granato said it is Anderson's net when healthy. So why is tokarski playing. He let in two soft goals and then we wonder why we can't win games. We have ten goalies and the obvious best goalie we have isn't even playing. So frustrating.๐Ÿ™„
  7. Well we do seem to be able to fix other teams problems ๐Ÿ˜Ž
  8. I hope UPL messes up KA's tank. Amazing what good goaltending does for a team. This young team needs to taste some victory's to survive. We may not make the playoffs and that's fine with me. Just play good hockey and don't quit on games, because that's what happens when you have a goalie you don't trust. It has been fun to watch hockey again the last few games. Keep it up.
  9. I have always hated this offside overturning a goal thing. Dahlin's offside had NO effect on the goal whatsoever. Every team gets stung by this rule every year and I would wager that 99% of the time the offsides has zero effect on the goal. It slows down the game and negatively changes momentum over something that had no effect on the goal. Yet countless goals are overturned by this. As to the 1% only allow challenges if a goal is scored in the first 20 seconds after entering the zone. Anything over that and an offsides really won't affect a goal. It's not like the refs are missing offsides by 10 feet or something that could change an outcome.
  10. He just needs to be moved to wing, he'll be fine
  11. In the NFL the top 12 highest paid players are all quarterbacks. In the NHL the highest paid goalie is number 10. Like quarterbacks goalie's can win or lose you more games and affect the play of the other players on his team, especially when letting in soft goals, than any other player on the team IMHO. If this is the case it would seem to me that the goalie should be your best player on the team. Not that he doesn't need good support players obviously you do. I remember when Miller was traded a lot of people thought good goalie's were over rated and not worth the extra money because of all the deflections and lucky bounces for goals, that any goalie would do just as well. I think we can see the value of of great goaltending. I would be willing to pay whatever it takes to get the best goalie possible. We've had at least two years or more to fix this position. As a poster noted somewhere on here earlier the cost to ownership for all the empty seats is way more than the cost of a top tier goalie. Not to mention the mental state of the team and the fact that we would be in the playoff hunt and everyone here would be looking forward to every game and enjoying it. It is just so aggravating to me that someone like myself who has no hockey experience other than the love of the game can see how easily things could be different.
  12. I agree, I think a lot of Dahlia's problems are because he is trying to hard. Like Eichel feels he has to carry the team because he was a high draft pick
  13. It's his job. I think given a couple of years any competent gm could have fixed this.
  14. KA has had a couple of off-seasons and trade deadlines to fix the goalie problem. A simple fix for making the playoffs.
  15. I would love that for a change. So that got me thinking. When was the last time the sabres pulled a shutout and who was in net? We haven't had one this season.
  16. Well it could have been this year with a better than average goalie tandem. But everyone here knows that but apparently KA hasn't figured it out yet. So who knows.
  17. Why does KA want to tank this year. There's no sense to it. We could easily be in the playoff hunt right now. This is going to do more damage than good. I've had it with KA. Like this trade today is going to change anything.
  18. I just don't get it. With a good goalie we'd be better than five hundred by a little. With a great goalie we'd be well in on the playoff hunt. But no here we are all because of one position not being filled. It's not like this has snuck up on anybody. Some of us have been hollering fo a true number one goalie for a couple of years now. As much as I hate it, the only logical conclusion is that it's intentional. I hate it for the players because it won't be long before they give up on the season and that's not good for their development.
  19. I don't understand it. Goaltending like the quarterback in football is the most important position in the game. The goaltender affects the outcome of more games (good or bad) than any other position. And yet people on here want nuts and we're upset when we got Lehner and Legwand for our 21st. pick in the first round. Now as it turned out Lehner wasn't good so it was justified. But my point is that why aren't we willing to pay more for a goaltender who could easily have this team running at .500 right now and we would be happy with the progress of this team. But no apparently we can't get a decent goaltender for what ever reason. KA has known this has been a position of need since he became gm. Unfortunately I can only conclude that this is intentional. I agree 100% with pi about players not being able to play how they need to when they don't trust their goalie. This season could have been a good season for us. But no one position sucks and here we are.
  20. Our sons is a manual as well. Definitely helped with his speeding problem. Hasn't gotten a ticket since he's had it. Couple of years now.
  21. I think we should pull one forward out and play tokarski and dell..... At the same time๐Ÿ˜Ž
  22. Goaltending, Goaltending, Goaltending.... We are in our seventh season since Miller was traded. We haven't had a true number one goalie since then. That's on management. KA has been derelict on this.
