  1. Key word "apparently". Also " massive say". All this is false? Don't know. All of this true? Also don't know. I feel like our frustration with the state of this franchise promotes these doubts but doesn't substantiate them. What I do know is ownership chooses management and they've done poorly judging by results. KA is the one "insider" of their hires. Juries out on him. I don't think there's evidence that they only want puppets under them. Nevertheless they've failed put together a secure efficient management team. That's reflected by coaching and players and the record.
  2. Seriously, don't you think all owners get briefed by their GM's? Pegulas problems have been who they've hired as GM's not in day to day meddling in hockey ops in my opinion. People on here talk like they're present in these meetings.
  3. I think the KA trip to visit ownership may be to review the coaching search. My guess is KA has done more on this front than we know. I heard Hamilton say in his opinion the only one he'd pick over Granato would be Brindy and he's not going to be available. I'd be shocked if Granato isn't the guy. A lot of fans will not like it and a lot will support it if it happens. Much more of where we are will depend on p!ayer moves.
  4. Enjoy retirement. That goes fast as well, I'm on year sixteen and seems unbelievable.
  5. I don't loathe myself. I do see my human weaknesses. I think your fan assessment is not unfounded.
  6. I think you're right but hope you're wrong.
  7. While I'm on record as being okay with Donato, I agree with your assessment that it was a small sample size of games. Not sure teams took them lightly as they were playing for playoff positions. I would keep Granato if you can't get a successful proven NHL coach. I have doubts you're going to get one as many teams will be looking for one. If we're looking at assistants or such then keep Granato. My bet right now is that's how it plays out. BB and Gallant? Doubt they would pick us over other offers.
  8. Tampa cleared a bunch. Then brought it back for playoff. Find a guy or two to go IR.
  9. You want to think that? Or are you asking? Seems the content of the article is what really matters anyway. I'm assuming it was factual and not misleading.
  10. I have no problem keeping Granato. I hope they extend Rhino. If Eichel is traded then they have to get a haul or I wait. We have a good year to allow him to get healthy and if he wants out then trade a healthy Eichel his value will only go up if he's known to be healthy. Trade Risto. To gut this team of its top two forwards could have negative effect on the development of Mitts,Cozens and Thompson.
  11. I just love to watch him regardless of the whining. Great hockey player.
  12. Not many. Of course forums such as this may not representative of the general fan base. Add to this I think negative or upset people tend to be more vocal.
  13. Yeah, I was here when the Knox's were awarded the franchise. If our players all loved the Sabres the way the Knox family did we'd have something. Too bad they didn't have the resources that current ownership has. Unfortunately at my age rebuild is not attractive but at this point just give a team that will fight for each other and be competitive every game.
  14. Sorry. Hard to tell. Well anyway it was laughable. My sarcasm meters down for repairs.
  15. Please. Go anywhere but Buffalo and your comment would be laughed at.
  16. One thing about Drury. Game on the line. Mr. Clutch! Sometimes it's not how many goals but when they count. Peoplehere that try to put him down because Gollisano, Quinn and company screwed up. Put on reality glasses and take off your super fandom spectacles.
  17. I certainly would like to see him extended and if Jack is traded, yes I think with an extension he should a candidate.
  18. I think they will stick with Granato for a few reasons. I think he's handled the young players well. He did as much with a depleted squad that was out of the playoff run that I think realistically one could expect. Lastly, we're also paying RK handsomely. As much as fans want experience there's logical and reasonable reasons for retaining Granato. In the end selling this team to fans is more to do with what our front office does than the excitement over the new coach.
  19. Don't know if he has or hasn't. Gallant would go Rangers before Sabres I think.
  20. Prefer Granato to Quinn at this juncture.
  21. I just can't get past Harrington calling someone, anyone a brat. The irony.
  22. PA I can't believe my own conversion!! Once a persecutor now turned disciple and accepting the PA gospel. How amazing seeing the light.
  23. Many are still under contract and frankly we don't know what Adams has or has not done.
  24. Sorry. I didn't say he wasn't going to be traded but I think you're more than happy to find criticism and this is all you can come up with. And I'm saying he already answered one of them and the other two are baiting type questions that so endear the media with players and teams. You're not going to say publicly we're trading so and so and hears what we want.
