I thi nk Housley will turn into a good coach. Would love to have him coaching our D. A LOT of Selanne's 76 goals in his rookie season were set up with a pass by that short sticked D man. He ended up with 79 assists that year. I don't know too much about systems and coaching but I think he will have great ways of clearing the D zone in a safe, smart way. A great teacher by the sounds of it. Have some parience with him though, he'll make some rookie mistakes.

Three of us took the two hour drive up to Manigotagan and boated 70-75 walleye in 5 hours of fishing....this 26 incher is my biggest of the day. The biggest was 27 3/8 for walleye and 36 inches for Northern Pike. Most fish were 1 1/2 - 2 lbs. We took 10 each and threw the rest back.

Good point. I don't watch them enough but was he not being used at center for a reason? The D resposibilities of a C in his own zone are almost like a D man (in most systems). Lots of centers get converted to wingers once they make the NHL. I'd love to have Drouin on the Jets but the asking price would probably be too high.

The Habs make out better here. Drouin has more moves than a pail of worms. A much more dynamic player and giving up Gal and a late 1st isn't a steal but the Habs come out ahead especially since they have more RFA years.

Muzzin for 13th overall, Petan and Dano. or Ryan Murray for 13th overall and Petan. There is no way in hell anyone is getting Manson for a 2nd....I'd give our 13th for him.

RyJo is a crafty one. Kesler's work on McDavid is a big reason the Oilers are golfing. Thing is, he isn't doing it to RyJo. He has 4 points in 2 games and Kesler can't keep him off of the scoreboard. All points scored at even strength in the Ducks' building. Now the refs will be watching Kesler even close. RyJo is a smart guy. sidenote ... I hate Kesler

I'd love to see Lehner on the Jets team. You guys have a good goalie there. I think Mason signs somewhere other than Philly. Halak with only one year reamaining would be an interesting pick up but the Isles would have to retain some salary (30%) and take Hutch back. The big question is where is MAF going? He is playing very well in the playoffs and has to be protected. Do the Pens buy him out, trade him, work out a deal with Vegas and keep him?

Hey, I am just wondering if anyone can give me an unbiased oponion of Hellebuyck's play? I am glad we moved on from Ladd when we did but I also think that if he were still captain, Ehlers wouldn't be diving half that much. He thinks he is playing soccer or something. SUI over CAN ... 3-2! Bazinga!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm not sure if you guys know this but JB grew up in Winnipeg and has a sister (Jennifer) that had a stellar career with the Canandian National Women's Hockey Team. His dad (Cal) is a sports psychologist and if I am not mistaken, used to work for the Rags organization.

Anyone think they start Hellebuyck next game or stick with Howard?

If you are going to trade Kane, trade him for a promising young D man (+ pick) with a year or two of experience but go after Alzner as hard as you can. His salary would be somewhere around what Kane's is. Alzner immediately gives you a quality shutdown D man that solidifies your left side. He is someone I hope the Jets go after this summer because we need help on the left side. Kane should get you someone like Manson and a 2nd round pick from the Ducks. Having Manson also fills a hole on the right side if Bogo or another RHD was to be moved and he only makes 850k.

Good move by the Canes. They get a couple of months to re-sign him and they had 3 third round draft picks this year. I thi nk they gave up Ottawa's. He'll likely get a five year deal approaching 5m per. .922sv% this year and a career .923 in a small sample size. Saw what they wanted and are going after him, I like it. I'd like to see Chevy do something like this after the expansion draft.

I'm going to be a homer and say we have two top 7 and possibly two top 4 picks from Winnipeg. I think Patrick goes first and Glass goes top 7 for sure and maybe even 4th. Patrick Hischier Vilardi Glass I also think after the 2nd or 3rd pick, it will depend a LOT on the team drafting. One team might want to go for D men while others might want centers or best palyer available. It isn't a strong draft and I wouldn't mind seeing the Jets move down or involved in a trade for a 1LHD or 2LHD with their 1st pick.

Does their limit count towards the adult's limit that they are with or do they have their own limit?

Does the underage fisher have his/her own limit? Here they do and people don't like it because parents will take their kids more for the limit than exposing the child to the sport in the right way. Here are some suckers running up the ditch to spawn not all that far from one of the spots I hunt ducks. A guy I was talking to reached in a grabbed one with his hand and his dog was running in the ditch and grabbing them out of the water. I told some buddies and one of them netted a bunch and I asked for three for Channel Catfish bait. They love suckers first thing in the season. I don't scoop them as I don't like them canned/pickled or smoked buts lots of people do.

Q is one of the best coaches in the league but he isn't going anywhere. Kitchen was responsible for defensemen and PK. They were 24th in PK%. I don't see Bowman going into a panic and making any huge changes. I could see him re-signing Darling and trading Crawford. If they retained 2m of his 6m salary, I'd like to see him in a Jets' uniform. I'd give up a 2nd in this year's draft but not much more.

We finished 6th and lucked out with 2nd last year. If you are picking 6th, you should be able to get a LHD that will play in the NHL in 2 or so years depending on how the early picks go. I think it is a good year to move down if you are not picking in the top 3 or 4. Just stay away from Alzner, I want him on the Jets playing with Buff next year.

As a Jets fan, I don't want the league to shut down for these olympics. I expect the team to be well on its way to the playoffs and I don't want the schedule shut dwo for two weeks. These 5 day bye weeks are bad enough.

It would surprise the hell out of me.
