I think he would make a really good back up goalie that could fill in if the starter went down. 4m is a bit much though. I am waiting for that first big trade to set the tone and see what shakes out!

Some Jets fans are wondering if Chevy should pick up a backup goaltender with Mason and Hutchinson out with concussions and Comrie not showing well his last game in the bigs.

I took the Sabres with 2.8 odds and also bet the over on 5.5 goals. The Bruins can go piss up a rope and suck on the soggy end as far as I'm concerned. Not a hockey team I hate worse than the Bruins. Plus, the bastards are a point up on us in the standings.

Maurice probably figured leading the AHL was enough to try him on the first line.He has scored a goal tonight and he has certainly had enough chances to score goals since he has been called up. He plays with Wheeler and Laine and is honestly better than both of them defensively. I see him as a 2nd liner.

Didn't hear a peep from Stamkos/Kucerov thanks to the Copp Lowry Armia line. We're 1st in the division 2nd in the conference and 3rd in the league...Roslovic is on the first line with Wheeler and Laine....I hope Chevy goes put and beefs us up for a long playoff run.

Myers only played 11 games last year and then had knee surgery followed by hip surgery. I'm not sure if it is the same type of hip surgery or not. I am not a big fan of his but I do admit he is playing a good offensive game. I just do not like his defensive game. I think Bogo is another example of the Atlanta franchise rushing a player into the NHL when he is not ready. Burmistrov and even Kane are other examples.

Roslo was the points leader in the AHL when he was called up. Armia had the most TOI of any forward the other night and is arguably our smartest D forward on the team. Lemieux can't crack the team at LW with Ehlers Connor Perreault Copp and Matthias ahead of him. He'll be on the team full time next season. If you think Myers and Bogo are a wash, well, I really don't know what to say. He has 23 points and is our leading points D man. Last year he had 5 points and he only played 11 games....how is this a wash? Bogo has one assist this year... Add what Staf contributed (especially the season he was acquired) and you would have to be a die hard Sabres fan to think this is a wash. Somebody on here asked me last year while the Jets were sucking how the trade was doing for the Jets. The Sabres were x amount of points better than the year before and the Jets were x amount of points worse...well, I will ask that question back this year...how is the trade working out for the Sabres? Last time I looked, the Jets were in sole possession of third place overall and the Sabres were in sole possession of 2nd last.

Reinhart has no leverage...all the leverage belongs to the Sabres. A two year "show me" deal at about 2m per year should easily do it. Teams don't offer sheet much because they are afraid of having it done to them. Off topic but here's hoping you guys beat Minny in OT tonight!!!

I agree. The team is probably doing well so it isn't a high 1st rounder but the prospect shold be ready to step in and start playing in the NHL next season. Larsson, a 1st and a 4th or 5th in 2019 would be about right. (Anaheim) They have a D man breeding factory down there. They ship out Vatanen and Theodore and still have a good D corps. Their window is closing too. Their big guns aren't getting any younger. Maybe something around Kaner and Valimaki from Calgary? He's going to be a great young D man and they are stacked on D and need to make the playoffs this year. A team I could see making a serious push for him at or near the TD is St. Louis. He'll bring a great return and GMJB will trade him because Kaner will want to test free agency.

A team trading for Kaner is looking for a player to put them over. They won't be willing to give up good roster players. I think the best you could do is prospect(s) ready to step in and play and picks. There's nothing wrong with young, cost controlled players ready to play and you can always turn pick(s) into roster players. Kaner should get a really nice return but probably not until after the new year.

Jets have a huge win over Vegas and their fans will wake up with the team tied for 1st overall in the morning.

Perry deserves worse but Chiarot has to be responsible for his stick. I think he deserved two games. Perry has gotten away with much worse.
