I don't like rap and twangy country. The rest of the music spectrum has a time and place to be listened to that makes it enjoyable. I enjoy the rest of the music spectrum. Including the *big bands* such as Glen Miller. Love some good adrenalin pumping metal to get ready for a race . Sitting around a camp fire listening to some Johnny Cash and Stevie Ray Vaughn. There's always a right time and place for it all. No band is complete trash, and none are the best ever to me.

I think Terry knew weeks before, as did Murray from his comments. There where basic goals this year to be met by GM and coach and they where not achieved. Then the Jack leak happened. Then the exit interviews went very bad for coach and GM. Fired. No remorse. He had the fore thought to hope for the best and plan for the worse. Sounds like a good owner.

Now that gives it a much deeper meaning and I like it now!

I think Terry knew the outcome of the exit meetings and was scouting for GMs so if he did *just up and fire * EXGMTM he knew he could get one in a timely manner.

I like this theory. You get him signed. In a year or 2 if he's not fitting in or working out he's trade bait..

Yah, it would be fair to say. I think you summed it up nicely NS. Personally, I'd rather have 3 very good defense-man than I can afford on my roster, rather than 1 elite and a couple of pretty goods.

Thought about this for a while. This is very logical. No need for a PoHO with an AGM or two. The Sabres hit the ground running with an experienced GM and the GM hand picks the proteges and coach. Fits the mold of successful hockey organizations, just skinning the cat a little different.

Welcome! I really hope you get a chance to see them in Tampa. Really nice arena and the people there treat you great. There is something about going to a hockey game in shorts and a tee shirt and needing a jacket once you get in the arena.

Complete opposite on the new coach for me. Playoffs or bust. PP may come down slightly mostly because *puck luck*, but we have skill to put out there and I don't see that dropping much. Might even be improved if Ennis continues to recover and get his speed/skill back into shape.
