  1. Mrs Racer just asked... This Dahlin kid, he the McDavid of defense? Because there's a lot of hoop-la with him and getting the first pick. I just smiled and said... Yeah baby, he's good. Cool, it's been a while since you got really excited for a game. This should do it right? It brings the Sabres a h*ll of a lot closer to being good yes, with a little luck this off season ya just never know.
  2. If he can communicate with the players and coaches he has a much better start than Antipin. And If he grows his hair out and kinda looks like our head coach he'll be playing no matter what.
  3. It's 11:22 am here and I can nonsense anytime I want to :nana:
  4. pirate ^ that makes it even funnier!
  5. Not that bad, nothing I wouldn't tell him in a bar then buy him a drink.
  6. Great game last night. Millbank is the only civil Toronto fan I have ever met(is a forum a meeting place ?). Not saying there couldn't be 1 more out there some where, I have my doubts, so I figure that Millsie is 1 in 5 million. He can stay. Go Tampa!
  7. I consider a strip down and rebuild at around 6-8 new skaters, plus a goalie. We fall in that category. I was prepared for this since last November.
  8. Still not the chippy, cheap shot play off rivalry hatred nasty of years past, but a very entertaining game. At three years I believe it's ok to mention the phrase *it looks to be a tradition in the making*, and at 5 you can official call it a tradition.
  9. Mrs. Racer and I love those types of neighbors.
  10. I know past performance is no indication of future blah, blah, blah.... But the Pen/Flyer series has been almost lifeless. Expected so much more after what has happened in previous years. Talked with a die hard Pen's fan and he was shocked at how emotionless the Flyers where at home in the last game. Just a shame.
  11. It's the wet ones that really ruin the day.
  12. This sums it up nicely for me.
  13. TM does get a solid F-. I was always hoping after years of a GM doing nothing that a *Tim* coming in doing something was good. It didn't work out.
  14. Armia and Myers were 2 of the 5 skaters on the Jets 1st line PP. Your going to have a hard time convincing me that is a good top line unit and one that I should be jealous of. Not saying that it was a good trade, it was quite possibly the best of Tim's all around badness, but it was a hockey trade. The worst of the worst for me is still the Lehner trade. I hated it the day he did it and it has grown to me to be the worst trade I can personally remember for the Sabres.
  15. Quite possibly the best rivalry in sports right now. The Pens are a much better team line by line, but yet, the hatred fueled play by the Flyers makes this series so enjoyable to watch and will likely lead to a 7th game.
  16. I like the local vendor concept. Have a section that's for local vendors only. They can rent a *stall* and peddle their wares, Broadway Market type set up. Beef on Weck, wings, pizza, done right and not massed produced in a factor then flash frozen and microwaved at KBC for your consumption.
  17. Completely missed the Soylent Green word play! Now it all comes together...
  18. 3.5 goals a game. Reach that level and the game will be much more exciting than it is now.
  19. I see a a lot of fans not buying season tickets for next year. Because of DFL. I read a timely written article with the Sabres head salesmen talking about fixing things that should have been fixed in years past. No conspiracy theory, just a slick used car salesmen doing his job.
  20. It's the timing that's total BS
  21. Charlton Heston. Planet of the Apes. He speaks!
  22. The offers may also lead to nothing. There may not be a market with a return that improves the team. Which is the camp I'm in.
  23. I still can't get down on him for that. An unfortunate play that the other player involved could have lessened but only made worse.
  24. I think the best part of the article to me is how Harrington went about it. He could have just thrown a puff piece out there about renovations and Russ and the Sabres going all in about game day experience, but he didn't. He took his time, did quite a bit of research, made some phone calls and gave a detailed report of the status of the building and it's lease. Let the reader read a well written story and decide for them selves based on the facts he could find. Harrington didn't need to be right or wrong, offer an opinion even, to stir these feelings. Kudos to Harrington.
  25. That was hilarious Marvelo!
