  1. They should send him down, I'm sure he'd clear waivers.. ;)
  2. yes
  3. On the second goal Mrs Racer asked... *was that the Amish boy that scored?* No, he had the assist, a player named McGinn....... I laughed, had to share.
  4. Yes. But you made me do it. Next time why don't you triple dog dare me not to lick the frozen flag pole.
  5. I think you missed a post up thread. She initiated contact, blood, scratches .... but your question may further his point. He's damned if he does and dammed if he doesn't. If he arrest one, their pissed. If he arrests no one and something horrible happens 15 minutes after he leaves there's a community out cry and an investigation into his involvement. You want to make that decision?
  6. I'm sure we are within a year or 2 of age if you where going to concerts at places that no longer exist. I can't say as I recommend Blossom any longer when I haven't been their in so long. But if you do get a chance to go on a beautiful summers evening, let us (at least me) live vicariously through you. Love to have another memory stirred to the surface.
  7. Yager goes to the front, doesn't camp out, but is in there enough and the defense has a tough time with him. Ovi, he slides in, creates some havoc, gets out. Crosby & Malkin, if they don't have the puck their finding open ice as close to the crease as possible and taking their licks when the puck does come to them. These are just off the top of my head. He doesn't need to be Dave Andreychuk and make a living with his skates covered in blue ice, but he needs more than a fly by.
  8. That what I'm trying to say, please don't use it. Try and make use of other lights/switches till this one gets fixed. It's just best left off, and best possible scenario is to shut the breaker off if at all reasonable. Or leave it as is and invite the MIL.....
  9. I'm just happy someone asked about him. It gets lonely being the only one wanting to see him play. I say this and now feel like the lone player left on my dodge ball team playing against the Randy *Big Unit* Johnson sextuplets team.
  10. It was before the internet for us, but the rumor mill at the time was he was either great, or absolutely horrible. It appears as we had great, or else you would have walked out. We had awesome seats. Sat eye to eye with the band about 30 foot to the right and slightly in front of the stage. Scott walked over to his left while singing into the megaphone and looked (appeared to me anyways) right at us and sang. It wasn't till you mentioned the song and the megaphone that I started to remember any of this. I can remember that, but I can't remember the time of year, who we went with (Mrs. Racer and I), or who bought the tickets ..... You must have gone to Blossom Music Center, no? It's been 15 years since we've been there, was best place to see a concert to us.
  11. Can you not use it till they fix it?
  12. Sounds about right. Where did almost 20 years go? Went to the show when they came here. It was a green megaphone in my minds eye, he was good the night he was here.
  13. I'm not sure chased off is accurate. He still seems active. He doesn't appear easily chased off from my perception.
  14. I think he's been healthy enough to play for the last 7-10 days. Just hasn't cracked the line up. I think an injury will need to happy before we see him in a game.
  15. Honestly, it may take longer to find the breaker to turn off the electric to that switch, than to replace the light switch. A screwdriver and a new *commercial grade* switch for $3.00.
  16. A friend emailed this. Watched. Thought, that's just amazing. So I'm sharing. http://www.youtube.com/embed/MjPmmCtHmfE?rel=0 Edit: If any one else likes it and can get it to embed ( heck I'm not even sure if that's the right word). Please help.
  17. Yah, but can you remember what you had for lunch yesterday? It's kind of a joke, but doesn't it sometimes amaze you what you remember .... and what you don't.
  18. OK! That make's it all clear now. The *modular home* is anything you can dream of. Their quality control is amazing because they build the modules (can be 1 wall to a section of the home) indoors and within a mold (best description I have). Everything comes out square. Holes from plumbing and electric are pre-drilled. The home building process has more in common with tool and die work. Forms, inspection processes, state of the art tools and laser precision. Very cool.
  19. Sorry, but I'm missing something. What is a *walk out*? Also, I think you nailed home ownership on the head.
  20. Yah! There needs to be some explain-ins for us young-ins! pA leave the nice officer alone for a bit a lend a hand..... please. I'd ask NS but he's a workaholic now.
  21. Well if you'd slow down a little you might not have missed ...... :P
  22. I do! I do! Gotta say Oduya like a Jersey kid OOOO DO Ya?
  23. We've been married 23 years, in that time we did this once. Same scenario, just a different state and for a week. My wife was bent for the year leading up to it. It's our money, our vacation time off.... how dare you impose your standards on us. Mrs. Racer had the *come to Jesus* talk as she calls it with Mum. Saved our vacation. We spent 2 nights just down the road, because if we stayed at their rental it would mean we would have to bunk with sister and brother in law. There where 16 people in a 5 bedroom home already. Mum though it would be all family friendly and cozy, FFS where in our 40's and 50's, noooo!!. In my world it's up to Mrs. shrader to want to be free of the parents nest and to have to make that call to her mom. It's tough. She's most likely not thrilled either and is not sure what to do. *Honey, I'm not thrilled or at all excited about going, but I''ll do what I have to do to keep the peace* . Is all I said when Mrs. R told me about the plans. Out loud anyways. I got lucky, I hope the same good luck for you.
