  1. Cool. The most positive feeling I've had toward the team since mid October. Also, good on Pat to still be doing something he is passionate about and finding that next gig after pro hockey.
  2. Yes we are. Good test of players and coaches. May we be surprised at the outcomes.
  3. I will watch, and will continue to watch, because as a fan I still have the belief that the corner will be turned in the very near future and want to witness that game.
  4. How soon I forget. GODD was beating the DD drum for months to replace Ted. But if I remember correctly, he was also adamant that DD was not the coach to get us deep into the playoffs and would be gone after a few seasons.
  5. Get to watch a pretty good hockey team tonight.
  6. Winning makes it all better, especially if (myself included) there is a preconceived mentality that winning should happen. There is just to much to enjoy in life to harp on the negative.
  7. I've watched 2-3 hours of the NFL this year, which is just long enough to remind me of how awful the product is. I want that time back just for the extra sleep I could get. The Sabres are still having growing pains to me. Hind sight is always 20/20, but I wish Ted Nolan was here with this group. His *just go play* would be more entertaining than what I'm watching now. The whole team just seems to play with a fourth line grinder mentality of *no mistakes/ dump puck and kill the clock/ don't give up a goal on my shift....*. For those that play that style (Larsson and Foligno, not sure about Girgensons) they are excelling under DD, the skill and smarts players are lost.
  8. Why is our funniest line to watch a Reiger line?
  9. In all seriousness, day to day is what I heard. And thanks for being a good sport and running with our Buffalo hockey stress reliving jokes.
  10. I'm checking flights from Dallas to Buffalo to see how soon.....
  11. He asked if it could get any worse.
  12. Dear hockey gods, If you allow the Sabres to score another goal before the 1 minute mark of the 3rd period I will stop drinking. Unless there's over time.
  13. Matty Mo channels his inner PI!
  14. PITCH FORKS! TORCHES! GET YOUR PITCH FORKS AND TORCHES HERE FOLKS! Please put in your best * old Aud* beer guy voice for maximum effect.
  15. My heart is racing with anticipation for the next period of riveting hockey action. 99.8% sarcasm Company Lawyers made put that disclaimer in there, or maybe it was JJ or Neo.
  16. Cool! I've never hit the lottery, but the feeling of landing a good job and winning the lottery have to be close. Cheers for stepmom! Famous last words.
  17. Dorthy did it with more grace, and is waaaaaayyyy hotter. Hot chicks on skates. Man card gets punched.
  18. Ok. So Dan told him to get his arse in gear or it will be a swift kick in the man jewels. AKA Middle body injury. Only one, but it scored twice.
  19. I read the first couple pages yesterday and the last couple of the GDT this morning and still don't know if Ennis was a healthy scratch. Can anyone please enlighten me? I know it's the job of the coach to try and play a style/scheme that gives his team the best chance to win, but man that is some boring hockey with the talent this team has.
  20. When our 2nd overall pick looks lost on the ice and he is blessed with great hockey sense I believe he will shut down the coach and revert to what got him here. When the winger on the same line looks like the former shell of himself, he will also *regress* to his past ways that got him results. Let today be the day of anarchy.
  21. Will you please put in your will that woodsie gets that picture upon your ultimate dimise. I have free skydiving passes also. Thanks in advance.
  22. You think he'd be head and shoulders above the rest of his line by now.
  23. Just some fun interjection here on my personal experience with multiple broken ribs. The act of getting on a toilet in the seated position is a painful challenge, gravity was your friend. Getting one's self up from that position takes all of your core muscles that are directly connected to one's ribs. Very painful indeed, almost as bad as sneezing. I could force back a sneeze.
