    Are the SS Mods a superstitious bunch? Last time a GDT didn't get pinned till late we won the game. The ritual is just fine with me as long as it helps us win. :beer:

    Weather permitting we do something very similar. *Beer can* turkey with indirect cooking for about 5 hours and I have an older Weber Kettle grill. We have tried all different liquids for the *beer can*. Our liquid is now very mild, a light beer or cheap white wine. The bird is slathered in olive oil then rubbed down with a spicy rub blend and some fresh sage. It's then stuffed with herbs, from what ever is left of the herb garden. Whole twigs of rosemary is my favorite. Then shove a half a lemon in the top with the flesh side down. Put the grill lid on with a brick on top of it cause the bird is to big for the grill. Eventually during cooking the brick is no longer necessary. My thinking is.... the darn birds are so cheap this time of year have fun and experiment!

    Puck luck is sure to be in our favor tonight. We will triple our goals in tonight's win. Sabres -3 The other AHL team- 2 Another fun game like the Pitt game is really what I'm hoping for. That was fun hockey will a good amount of scoring chances.

    It was a simpler more peaceful life prior to cell phones. I like to call that time the phone book era. Having to know someones last name before you could contact them has it's advantages.
