Went to see Sudbury play last week. Byfield is very good. I found him to be very fast for a big guy. He played PP and PK and checked well in his own end. He is the best player on his team and one of the best in the OHL at 17.

Bounce back game, be the ball.... Go out there and give a hundred and ten percent, work hard both ways, hope to get a few bounces and finish the night with a W. End the Isles streak, shut the critics up and get on that plane with some confidence. Get Dahlin some home cooking and have some family reunions for our Euros. Let’s go Buffalo!

Caps have no trouble scoring but their D and GT look suspect. This will be a good test, bring your A game boys. Heads up for Tom Wilson, he could cause someone to miss the Sweden trip. Let’s go Buffalo!

Wendel Clark was drafted as a D-Man and played wing in the NHL. If I had to move someone up I would try Montour.

It was the Heritage Classic, an all Canadian team game, held every once in a while. I guess it’s not promoted in the US. The networks are not interested. It was a good game. Interesting locale, Mosaic stadium, football stadium in Regina Saskatchewan nearly halfway between Winnipeg and Calgary.

Cozens with 17 pts in 13 games while Pekar has 20 pts in 13 games. Alexis Lafreniere is leading the QMJHL in scoring with 36 pts in 15 games, not bad for a 17 year old. Quinton Byfield is doing the same in the OHL with 29 in 15.

McCabe’s post game interview was good. Kept the cliches to a minimum and spoke intelligently.

A lot of high shots hit Linus up high, probably has a few dings on his mask.
