That is on point and don’t forget Tuch. Adding all of that talent will win a few games. I hate losing and like most of the people here it has been a tough ten years. I see some progress and the long term outlook looks promising. It just tries our patience to watch it unfold at the current pace.

I was looking at that mock draft today. 32 prospects, 14 C and 7 RHD. Even if they don’t go by positions of need they’ll probably fill some depth holes.

Scoring by committee instead of 10 JAGs deferring to Jack and Sam. We still have JAGs but even they have chipped in.

I think you can get a goalie out of Dallas as a stop gap measure. Holtby and Khudobin are currently the pair. Ben Bishop is on IR but when he returns they have 3 NHLers. Sabres have cap space to make anything happen and it could be a free transaction to take a salary from them. Oettinger is in the AHL but I think he is ready for NHL action. He would be my choice of the four but he is just ahead of UPL on the development curve. None of these guys is a saviour but they are better than Dell.

From what I hear from our neighbours to the south the HNIC show will be better than their options. The Leaf blower (Craig Simpson) is hard for me to listen to though.

Cozens had a great game. He worked hard at both ends and was rewarded. Maybe he gets on a roll here.

I think there are still issues with the border. I could be wrong but I think we (Canadians) need a rapid test (COVID-19) before being allowed to return. This test costs over $100 so it makes it expensive for a day trip. This may have changed but was the rule a week ago.

You’re right, most drafted Dmen were scoring points in junior and then accepted the role of third pairing or the PK stay at home type. I don’t seem to see Brooks Orpik clones on scouts’ radars.

Luongo may have had some intel on him, being from the Montreal area.

I liked this guy since the World Juniors, not expected to make the team yet becomes the starter. 7th rounder probably because he played Junior A instead of CHL. I don’t know much about Northeastern but he must be a large part of their success.

I wish Power had some of Chris Pronger’s grit to his game. Just enough to make other teams think twice about putting it into his corner, driving the net, touching the goalie etc… I would give up a dozen points for that.
