It would be good for Novikov to come over. He is an interesting prospect and it would be beneficial for the Sabres to get him under their umbrella and see how he develops. He could be another Mule.

DG probably sticks to this winning lineup for the next game. If Girgs is good then Vinnie or Asplund sit. Those two haven’t made a difference. UPL is in the driver’s seat, he stumbles but they are winning with him in the net.

UPL just finds ways to contribute to the wins. It wasn’t perfect but a big win. Kid line was good, Quinn was knocked around a lot, it was good to see him bag one. Mitts and VO played well, getting some mojo going now. KO goal was a great tip and Boosh made a nice pass. They’re back on the rails, keep it up.

There will inevitably be injuries to the forward group so this will not be necessary. The Jost line is finding a groove, which is good. They need the kid line to get a spark so there are three scoring lines. Asplund with KO and Girgs may be a good fit. Krebs hasn’t played well on the wing.

I think Hellebuyck played a great game last night. UPL was good but the guy at the other end was better. Power, VO and KO had great chances that missed the net in the first period. Bag one or two of those and the outcome would’ve been different. There will be times where the Sabres win these types of games, just not last night. C’mon Sabres, get back on the winning track!

Canadian media is really pushing Morrissey as a Norris candidate. 46 pts in 41 games this season. I want to see Dahlin get a few points and make some nice plays to show JM how it’s done.

Olivier Nadeau has started playing again after his summer shoulder surgery. He has played 6 games for Gatineau, in the Q tallying 3G and 3A. He had a good playoff run last year despite the shoulder problem. Another few months to develop and we could see him in Rochester later.

I guess they are back in must win territory if they don’t want to lose ground for the wild card spot. They need to rebound quickly and get back to their game plan. Speed kills! I think the top line and Dahlin respond well and the rest will follow.

The whole team played poorly, they weren’t executing their passes and plays. I thought Mule did not a have a very good game. I thought he had as much possession time as Dahlin, which is rare. Perhaps Philly was wanting him to handle it and focused on eliminating Dahlin.

Winnipeg returns 2021 and 2022 first round picks Chaz Lucius and Brad Lambert to their WHL clubs. They both had been in the AHL and played in the WJs. Lambert will play for Seattle in the WHL after bouncing around Liiga for a few years. This could be the boost he needs, kid is still young but he has gone from #1 overall potential pick to late 1st rounder who can’t score in Liiga, AHL and even the WJs.

The Kid Line will reignite tonight, 3 goals from those guys.

He has improved his numbers from last year, especially goal scoring. He is on pace for 66 goals and 152 points. I find it interesting that TNT is on pace for a better season than Matthews had last season, when he won the Hart.

These types of awards help the media get aboard the Rasmus for Norris train. Congrats! Keep it up.
