  1. Sounds like it. These are words directed at GMTM.
  2. This is not a valid generalization. IIRC, we picked up Carrier and Fasching in 2 separate deadline trades.
  3. Well, Moulson technically came back as an UFA. Franson was an UFA. Kuli was a hockey trade, but some would argue Pysyk was still young & developing. If we want to trade any of these above players in exchange for younger, developing players, then I'm all for it.
  4. I think the Sabres view of how to win should be an evolving thing. It's one thing to watch a player perform on another team and another watching them play on your team. If you think a player you picked up isn't meshing with your system or "culture", I really don't think you should hesitate to move them. I understand we don't want to be shedding players just based on their top return value. But, if we don't see them in our long terms plans, we should get what we can from them before jettisoning them after the season's over.
  5. What if management doesn't see them as part of the culture they want to build?
  6. It's baffling there would even be any demand.
  7. It's interesting people are still anti-Tank around here. Eichel and Reino may be experiencing growing pains, but are they really that dispensable to people? Because that's where we would be without the Tank.
  8. That, and Kim is actually a co-owner of the Bills. I guess she set herself up with a "top level" job.
  9. Awesome. Glad to see he's really making a mark.
  10. Not shocking. We had his rights for 1.5 months and he didn't take one step into Buffalo. It was all about the big city. No Cup. Not money. Not winning. Not teammates. He just flushed his career. Good for him.
  11. I feel bad for his agent. Lots of work, but relatively little compensation.
  12. So, we're talking their restaurants and museums are open all night? Concerts at 3am? This is what you can't find anywhere else? Sounds like a selling point to me. Color me enlightened.
  13. What type of culture? Different races? Food? Concerts? Art museums? What? If we're talking a "feel" or "vibe", then I agree. Cities like LA, Chicago, DC have a different feel to them you could never find anywhere else.
  14. I live in DC, so am a passive observer in this. But, you have my interest. What exactly can you find in NYC you can't find anywhere else? Are we talking people, architecture, climate, food, geography, drugs, healthcare, beer, fetishes, flights? Just point me in a general direction.
  15. You'll get one when you're drafted. Have patience. See. I can do that too. The point is is that he's going to settle up and play. He's shown an incredibly inability to do so.
  16. Not to signing and heading to FA is a non-decision. He didn't have to make one decision to land where he is today. He landed where he is by default.
  17. This kid (and I really mean kid) couldn't make a decision if his life depended on it. Most people on here would've said "let's make the best of this decision" and signed with Nashville years ago. Or, "let's roll" and signed with Buffalo. Him putting off a decision is an indictment of his inability to make a decision. I'd be shocked if he signs before the 20th.
  18. The 2nd to last paragraph is a strawman argument. A reasonable alternative (but of course not mentioned) is to have the player re-enter the draft after his college career has finished.
  19. This is great news. Maybe the firesale will kick into high gear.
  20. It'll need more than just being locked. Completely deleted would be a better option. Like this nightmare never even happened.
  21. You got to love how he's making it sound like Vesey's experiencing some undue burden. That he can't wait for this nightmare to end. That said, I wonder if TT's extension will have any bearing on his decision. Different sport and GM, but one owner who was willing to open the vault for a player when he didn't have to.
