  1. Why thank you. I try my best. But seriously, if we were in Nashville's shoes, this board would have imploded.
  2. True. But it appears there was absolutely no ill-effects on his development. The exact opposite rather.
  3. It's possible. He's been working with boys all his life. He'll need an adjustment year of working with men. Then, who knows?
  4. I would like to see him complete school and become FA after August 15th. It's in the CBA, so he deserves the right to maximize his career.
  5. But isn't this what a great interviewer is supposed to do? They say certain things to get people talking. If the interviewer brought up Boston and Vesey didn't become animated, he likely would've moved on to a different subject. This interviewer hit the jackpot with bringing up Boston. He did a great job because it really gives us insight into Vesey's thinking, which is what an interview is suppose to do.
  6. So location trumps all. Glad that's settled.
  7. Why didn't he sign with Nashville then? They satisfied his list. In addition, from the BN article, I just loved how he thanked Buffalo for giving him his practice interview.
  8. Agreed. I heard it too. He's basically gushing about Boston. The interviewer was doing his job by putting the bait out there and Vesey certainly took it.
  9. Considering the city is at the top of his priority list, if he has a "short list", wouldn't he want to visit them before making a decision? I'm not sure if he ever set foot in Nashville, but he still turned them down even though they are a Cup contender, they were offering him a top-6 position, and we're going to give him the maximum offer. To me, that says he didn't want to go to the city of Nashville above all. Now, although allowed and probably has been invited, he hasn't even set foot in Buffalo. That worrisome above all. What's he going to do, decide where he's going to sign based on the team's pitch, then go visit?
  10. There's no way this guy signs with us. Zero chance. Let's say he visits and talks with a handful of teams around Aug 15th and makes his decision based on those meetings, just like he says he's going to do. Why hasn't he at least visited Buffalo yet? He's has the legal right to visit Buffalo, see the facilities and the city. But for whatever reason, he's not even interested in doing this. If Buffalo was on his "short list", would he at least want to get the visit done with so he could visit other teams on Aug 16th?
  11. All this speculation is just that. My inside source tells me this was just Kim dropping Jimmy off after the Bieber concert. Apparently he complained to GMTM last week that Buffalo wasn't cultured enough for him. Terry told Kim to deal with such ignorance. I'm also hearing Pokemon Go was somehow involved.
  12. This is just more evidence of the coddling occurring here.
  13. Truly thought provoking questions. But I think it's generally acknowledged that both musicians and athlete serve as role models to teenagers. More often than not these are usually negative influences, but nevertheless it happens.
  14. Yep. It took prosecuting a year - when their witness was on the stand - to figure out she never saw ROR driving the trunk. That's almost believable.
  15. Really? And here I was thinking I was the official spokesperson of the Canadian judicial system... I guess I just have a low tolerance level for people who drink and drive and have the money/status to get away with it. I'm not sure of everyone else's background, but if it was my car that crashed into Tim Horton's, I'm pretty sure I would still be in jail.
  16. Prosecution couldn't prove their case in the OJ trial either. Was he guilty? Guess not, prosecution couldn't prove their case.
  17. Glad to see the Canadian judicial system is as screwed up as ours. http://sabres.buffalonews.com/2016/07/11/sabres-oreilly-acquitted-of-all-charges-in-ontario-accident-case/
  18. Oh come on. Don't play dumb. Here, it's been quoted many times in this thread: Call it what you want: demands, selection criteria, wish list, etc. It doesn't matter, once he hits August 16th, he's in the driver's seat. He'll have all the power over where he goes and why. Believe what? That his agent has repeatedly said Vesey wants to hit free agency?
  19. I think I agree. Or, he at least knows where he wants to play. His list of demands could also be smokescreen to make it look like there will be much contemplation in where he finally settles down. And for the record, I doubt it's Buffalo. He would've signed already.
  20. I was originally in the let him talk to other teams camp. Now, I'm not so sure. I think the idea only shows our impatience. We want a decision now - no matter what. I don't think we need a quick decision though and it's probably not in the Sabres best interest. I would hate for him to commit to another team and have that team start making decisions knowing he's in the fold. Aug 16th is over a month away and a lot of roster changes may occur during this period. What if CHI or PIT get impatient and trade for a top-6 forward next week? You'd be able to cross them off the list then.
  21. I agree with this. Strictly speaking, I don't see this quote any different than how it was before.
  22. Good to hear the Upper Tanker is getting some recognition around here. http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=upper+tanker&utm_source=search-action
  23. Good to hear Jack will be there to continue the coddling.
