His work with Mad Season was brief...and awesome. His old friend Mike McCready(Pearl Jam) talked him into singing on their album. He went in to record a couple singles with AIC in ‘98, which is the year of his final public appearance. On April 19, 2002 his accountant contacted a former manager to tell her that Layne hadn’t made his regular withdrawal from the bank in two weeks. He was found on his couch. They identified him through dental records.

This the halfway point. His mental illness/drug addiction where taking over. He and his ex/fiancé where in deep. This is two years before their mtv unplugged performance and he’d been in exile pretty much since this album. His ex/fiancé died of an overdose the year of the mtv gig.

Layne Staley is one of my favorite vocalists of all time. His story is one of great tragedy. This entire album kicks ass.

Two of his goals last night where one timers from the hash mark with a puck dished from behind the goal line... all around they were good plays that took more than one skilled player to execute...I just hope folks don’t get disappointed if he doesn’t have the same results in Buffalo. If he is called up, he needs to play with guys that can set him up...Phil....are you listening?

That move by Pilut in the crease pushing and shoving both Dmen is needed more by Sabres defenders....it’s something Nelson and Guhle rarely do and a big part of the reason I don’t have much faith in them...

Guhle struggled on D again. Loses the puck and takes a stupid tripping penalty trying to recover. Borgen played like an animal and is growing his game all the time. Plays tough...physically. He wears guys down. Took his man into the boards hard and drew penalty on the retaliation. Had another bone rattling hit later on. He’s learning good lessons from McWilliams at keeping the crease clear. He’s my pick over any of the others.

Wilson with the first goal and Olofsson with the second to make it 2-0 end of two. Olofsson’s goal was all due to some damn hard work by O’Regan. Nelson so far is blatantly mediocre.

Hall of Fame night...wearing the throwbacks....Janik and Langdon are the inductees. Both gave great speeches. Apparently Janik and Botts are tight. Janik mentioned that Botts was at the game....or is he there for nefarious reasons?

Cheap is the only thing he has going for him. IMO his ceiling is bottom pair on a team looking to tank.

What do you think the chances are he’d be claimed? Should we even care if he is? He hasn’t been very good here or in Rochester.

I originally thought GMTM picked him up because he was Jack’s linemate. A familiarity thing. Once I saw him in Rochester I couldn’t believe he was undrafted. I think GMTM was a little better than he’s given credit for.

After a long hard day, I finally sit for the first time today at 6:45 with Mendon Wok...yum! At 6:59 I switch to 635-1 to watch the game... 771(or something) error on the screen..Suddenly my blood thickens! I call Directv because I am in no mood for this *****. It was like calling a radio station run by teenagers. No one has a Fing clue. My patience fled the scene when the girl on the line said it was an alignment issue and I’d have to make plans to meet a tech sometime next week to realign it. The. Hell. I. Do! ”Connect me the disconnect service...NOW!” I was on hold for 45 mins but a dude finally came on. Very unprofessional. It sounded like a pants off dance off was going on in the background. My wife was there to coach me out of getting too carried away but.....if you’ve ever had Directv, you’d understand why... F’em. Officially canceled.

You’d be surprised at how many people don’t understand the difference between socialism and compassionate capitalism....Sad.
