That game was too close. I expect the series will go 3 games.

A shame they couldn’t have a better effort with a sellout crowd. This series is over. Last year it was Laval’s speed, this year it’s Hershey’s size and physicality. It was a nice run.

Lost 2-0. Some good chances early but their goalie was sharp. Not a lot of chances after that.

I worry those heavy hitters on Hershey might go after him.

They won’t take it from him, he’d have to volunteer to give it up.

I was hoping he would retire so the team didn’t feel obligated to resign him, and open another spot for a young talent or veteran they brought in. It will be awkward if they have to sit the captain because his play has slipped.

It’s because you’re used to the NHL where there are standards for lighting and tv broadcasts. AHL arenas are not set up to optimize tv broadcasts. On Sabres live it was announced that MSG will televise game 3 from Rochester Saturday, with Don Stevens and Brian Duff.

They need good teams to draw even in traditional hockey markets. Look at how attendance went down in Buffalo. And the fastest way to improve is with a star player. Of course they then have to surround him with the right teammates.

They want the big market teams to do well so they boost tv ratings and ad revenues.

With Toronto gone, my last hope is that Edmonton gets eliminated. After that it’s just gravy, but I’d root for Florida to win the Cup.
