But he's starting to get Robio syndrome; a one-note candidate. "Bernie, how will you improve race relations?". "Wall Street bankers!".

McKenzie speculates that Stamkos will end up in Buffalo
pastajoe replied to Brawndo's topic in The Aud Club
Buffalo is one of the teams that has the most cap room next year. I would love them to sign Stamkos just to see the Toronto fans go crazy. -
I'll have to disagree, as do most of the pundits. Sanders was off balance in the end when Clinton pointed out his criticisms of Obama. You could see he was rattled and getting mad. And of course Clinton ran against Senator Obama, not President Obama. Whereas Sanders called for a primary opponent to run against President Obama in 2012. It's all about showing who has had Obama's back, given that he still has high ratings among black voters. And in that respect Clinton scored a TKO. .

I thought conservatives believed in redemption. Born again Christians often sinned before they were saved. Maybe they would have preferred a hard core actress.

True. You said you registered to vote, not that it was a primary. I thought you meant general election. My mistake.

For those that held out hope that Kasich would be a reasonable moderate, your hopes have been dashed. https://www.washingtonpost.com/national/ohio-slashes-13-million-in-grants-to-planned-parenthood/2016/02/10/ba9df212-d036-11e5-88cd-753e80cd29ad_story.html?hpid=hp_hp-cards_hp-card-politics%3Ahomepage%2Fcard The Ohio legislature moved Wednesday to cut off $1.3 million in public health grants to Planned Parenthood in a closely watched vote that could have repercussions for the surging presidential campaign of Gov. John Kasich ®. The bill, which cleared the Senate last month and passed the House on Wednesday, prohibits the Ohio Department of Health from giving state or federal grants to organizations that conduct or “promote” abortions. Kasich, who placed second in the Republican primary in New Hampshire on Tuesday, has said he would sign the bill. The Ohio bill ... targets state and federal programs addressing HIV/AIDS, domestic violence, infant mortality and other problems. Planned Parenthood receives a large percentage of that money every year to administer the programs across the state. Under the new bill, the organization would be barred from administering those programs because of its role as an abortion provider. A Kasich spokesman said the governor plans to sign the bill, calling it a fiscally responsible move. You don't have to belong to a party to vote in elections, just registered to vote. If you registered as a Republican to vote, somebody gave you wrong information.

So you want to be a mischief maker and interfere with the decision process of real Democrats who are committed to the party.
-
So is there any practical application of this knowledge that it can be applied to? Not being a wise guy, I would like to know.
-
In the debates he has attacked Kasich's statements about the Ohio economy doing well by saying Kasich got lucky that Ohio got rich on fracking. Perhaps Trump would try to mend fences (huge, beautiful fences) by choosing New Mexico Gov. Susana Martinez which would check off the woman and Hispanic boxes.

Watched 'St. Vincent' starring Bill Murray, about a curmudgeon who has to deal with new neighbors (mother and son) who have their own issues. His performance reminded me of Walter Mattheau. It will make you laugh and make you cry.

Marty Biron this morning talked about Justin Bailey, and he used the phrase 'called up' 4 times. Didn't use the word 'recall' at all. So who are you going to believe, Marty or the internet? -
That's factually false. The Iowa Democratic Party does not have comprehensive records on how many coin flips/games of chance were held Monday evening. However, they do have partial records. More than half of the 1,681 Democratic caucuses held Monday night used a new Microsoft reporting app. Of those, there were exactly seven county delegates determined by coin flip. The remaining precincts did not use the Microsoft app, and instead used traditional phone-line reporting to transmit results. In these precincts, there no are records of how many coin flips occurred. There's only anecdotal information on these precincts. Who won these coin flips? Of the seven coin flips/games of chance that were held in precincts using the Microsoft app, six of those were flips to determine whether a county delegate slot went to Clinton or Sanders. Of those six Clinton-vs.-Sanders coin flips, Sanders won five and Clinton one. The seventh coin flip was used to determine whether a county delegate slot went to Sanders or Martin O'Malley. Sanders won that coin flip as well. So in the seven coin flips that the Iowa Democratic Party has a record of, Sanders won six of them. http://www.cnn.com/2016/02/02/politics/hillary-clinton-coin-flip-iowa-bernie-sanders/ And even though Iowa and NH were Bernie friendly states, he only got a net +2 delegates (34-32) based on just voting. Let's see how he does when he doesn't have the home field advantage.

They probably called coach Cunnyworth and he told Bailey he was going up. So after calling him about Catenacci, the Sabres recalled Cunnyworth about Bailey. -

Both are improper. They are called back. To recall is to make the same call twice. -

But did they originally call him to say he was going to Rochester, or do it in person? To say recall means they're calling him again. -

Shouldn't it be "called up", since he's never played a regular season game. Put him with Eichel, don't waste him on the 4th line while Moulson plays with Jack. -
I think that Trump will maintain enough national support that the Repubs could end up with no one with enough delegates before the convention. Cruz and Rubio will be in the mix. Bush has the money to stay in, and we'll have to see if W campaigning for him is a plus or minus. Although Kasich was strong in NH, he don't have much money or ground game in the south. Christie may well drop out and hope to be the VP pick. Fiorina and Carson are the walking dead but may stay in a bit longer.

Putting aside that the article is clearly slanted towards Bernie, it fails to adequately address what will be a major issue in the general election; foreign policy. In that respect, it will benefit the Democrat to be more like Reagan given the national concern about foreign aggression. That was the perceived weakness and downfall of the mentioned previous liberal Democrats LBJ, McGovern, and Carter. And though I disagreed with Reagan's domestic policy, he did build relationships and compromise with the Congress to pass legislation, another Clinton strength. So Democrat voters will have to decide if they want to win the "pure Democrat" arguement, or the general election.

You realize that's Ray's schtick to make fun of the other guy's wearing pocket squares. So every pre-game he puts something in his pocket, and that game it was a hot dog.

Christie challenged Rubio about how he can't think on his feet and he just keeps repeating the same memorized scripts about how Obama knows what he's doing trying to change the country. Rubio went on to do it five times, and it's also what he says in his commercial. http://youtu.be/vGWPo7GqA6w
