  1. He's actually a hobo who lives on trains; Sabres Fan in Norfork Southern.
  2. Thanes16 eats chicken wings with a knife and fork.
  3. spndnchz is a Latvian soup made by straining beets through the socks you wore that day.
  4. It only has 4000 seats, and it's used by both the men's and women's teams.
  5. Conacher showed great potential early on, so it was seen at the time as favoring Ottawa. Here's an article about the trade: http://www.theglobeandmail.com/sports/hockey/senators-trade-goalie-ben-bishop-to-lightning-for-centre-cory-conacher/article10728289/?service=mobile
  6. Depends on criteria. He's great on offense but not on defense and is relatively small. If you're talking about all around talent including defensemen and goalies, it's possible.
  7. Obviously a negotiating ploy to get upgrades to Blue Cross Arena.
  8. Or he thinks the Sabres will finish worse than the other team's whose picks they own.
  9. Good for Buffalo media to ask the tough questions. Should have said "misled" instead of "lied" so he couldn't avoid the issue. Toronto radio said Buffalo media came with their knives out. Said now they know what it was like when Gorges said he didn't want to be traded to Toronto. Problem with that comparison is he said it upfront, he didn't try to play them in a bidding war like Babcock did.
  10. Maybe Paul McClain with Richardson as assistant.
  11. So he'd rather be on a big farm with a bunch of swaybacks then a small farm with young thoroughbreads.
  12. It will make beating the Loafs even more enjoyable next season.
  13. That's a political statement that isn't appropriate for this forum, or so I've been told.
  14. Kansas City has a fairly new arena waiting for a tenant. Would be a nice rivalry with St Louis. The Scouts failed because the league forced a horrible expansion roster on them.
  15. The California teams will be playing the majority of their games in division, so not much out of state travel. And they will play less games than eastern teams. The Texas teams will probably fly out there and then make a bus tour of the state. And they may end up playing more games against Midwest teams in the same time zone. The AHL doesn't have strict rules on number of division games like the NHL, they take distance into account. They sometimes put teams in divisions just to even them out, like putting St. John's in the "New York" division. Charlotte is the real outlier.
  16. Ontario, California. A suburb east of LA.
  17. We don't have a society so I stay in school and do the work to get a good job while you party and slack off or get pregnant, and then I have to pay for your bad decisions. We have a society so we don't kill each other and take what we worked for. Raising minimum wage is a short term solution. Prices for products and services will rise, which will then cause those making more than minimum wage to also demand increases, and then we're back where we started. Minimum wage jobs are a lesson for teenagers to stay in school and get the skills necessary so they're not working the same job when they're 30. And they're an incentive for older workers to keep learning and updating their skills.
  18. Friggin Habs. C'mon Tampa, finish this next game!
  19. I hate that the Caps are letting the Rangers hang around for another game. The Caps have to win at home or they'll be in trouble. And I want the Ducks to finish their series this weekend. Get rid of the last Canadian team, and set up a great match up with the Hawks.
  20. I said nothing political, I stated good economic news. Who would think that's not good news?
  21. I think it was more the lack of a quality center.
  22. I twisted my knee last weekend playing hockey, and it's still swollen. If it's still like this next week I'll go to the doctor. I'm worried it might be the meniscus. And I do plan on trying to play this weekend.
  23. The Wild are still waiting for him to show up.
  24. U.S. economy added 223,000 jobs in April and the unemployment rate decreased to 5.4 percent, the lowest since 2008. Hopefully the demand for labor will trigger increases in wages.
  25. Wrong, I'm saying people have to live within their means. If you're poor and living on welfare, why should I have to pay for additional kids you have because you're irresponsible. If you have one kid and are poor, having five more isn't going to improve your situation. We'll provide resources, support and job placement, but you need to commit to get educated and trained to get a job that will provide a living wage. Then have more kids if you want. I'd rather my taxes went to that than just generational welfare. But until ALL issues are put on the table, there will never be a consensus of support from taxpayers to spend more on resources to end generational poverty.
