We just can’t build through the draft again, we don’t have the time. We needed to begin the first rebuild by aggressively pursuing young goaltending and young defensemen as they take the most time to develop. We didn’t do that and we don’t have four years to wait to try this again. There’s a strong chance a D is our pick this year based on the class, but this is a pretty weak class anyway.

To me it’s not even about underperforming. I came in with low expectations. But this team looks like they’re having no fun and couldn’t care less. I’m not saying they should be out there smiling when they’re losing, but some emotion would be nice. Lay a big hit, get into a fight, do some celebrating. We can losers but we can also be entertaining. This team just isn’t at all entertaining.

What is your least likable Sabres team then?

In all of my time being a Sabres fan I can’t remember a team that was so easy to dislike. There’s been good teams I’ve not cared for, and bad teams I’ve not cared for, but this collection of players is just completely unlikable. I would say I am a fan of Reinhart, VO, and I’ve always kind of had a soft spot for McCabe. Outside of that I’m drawing a pretty big blank. There’s nobody who’s jersey I would buy, that’s for sure.

What would Hall even fetch at the deadline? I’m thinking it’s much less than others are anticipating.

If my hockey playing experience has taught me anything it’s that 30% of players are stoned. Of those 30%, 74% play as if they aren’t stoned and nobody is any wiser. Jackie Boy might fall into that 26% group.

Reinhart would because he’s a professional who carries himself and plays like one day in and day out. I don’t think Skinner or Eichel would.

I’ve said it at the very beginning of the trend and I will say it again now—no less than 50% of the reason why we are losing hockey games is due to posters posting variations of “Must Win.” If we want to become relevant again, it must go!

Where are our resident optimists to tell us how we are actually good and will be in the playoff picture?

By the time Washington had a farm system they’ll have moved back to Syracuse...thankfully we have one of the best GMs in baseball so we’ll be fine.

Gilmour for me all came with the Varada incident. I never liked Smehlik, but thinking back on it he probably got more hate than he deserved.

Posts like these are always interesting to me because I’ve butted a lot of head, have an openly antagonistic username towards the mods, and pretty much speak as freely as I feel like and have never received a warning point or a PM from a mod. I’m not saying you weren’t, and this isn’t the first post I’ve seen of this nature in my time here, but it always makes me go hmmm...

You’re just being an airhead and willfully ignoring what I’m saying. I’m not ignoring anything. Someone says the get cancer, I don’t say hey you’ll beat the cancer but have fun with all the chemo complications. That’s called being a jack-ass.
