  1. The “valuable info” comes out in maybe one or two lines every three days or so. This thread does a good job diving deep into what those little nuggets of information may or may not mean. And some other whacky stuff as message boards always have. I want more valuable info too but sadly it’s not coming often. Maybe that’s a good thing.
  2. There’s no reason to put guys like Cozens and R2 a step behind in the AHL at this point. They’re NHL players and can grow in the NHL.
  3. Certainly. I don’t think it’s a good idea to enter a negotiation with your acceptable package immediately on the table because then you don’t have any room to negotiate. You need to shoot higher than that and hold out and see if someone is willing to pay more than you actually intend to receive then if that doesn’t happen you hope someone is offering what you actually want.
  4. One less suitor for Risto … wait …
  5. $8M is not an overpay for Landeskog in this market. He’ll get that from good teams.
  6. The deets:
  7. If either of those are on the table yes
  8. Stralman had to waive a NTC to go to Arizona and that had been in the works for a while. Before anyone asks: yes, to many people Arizona is more appealing than Buffalo.
  9. Some geo-locked NHL speculation. No idea what’s being said because it’s blocked in the US. https://www.tsn.ca/video/lebrun-leafs-yet-to-offer-andersen-a-contract-have-interest-in-m~2248528
  10. Good stuff. Thank you!
  11. I didn’t say he was a good leader necessarily though by all accounts that I’ve heard he is a good guy. Doesn’t mean good leader but I’ve never heard he was a bad influence.
  12. I hope so. Give me Tyler Johnson from Tampa Bay.
  13. It was mutual. I mean she definitely broke my heart but I tell my friends it was mutual. Yes, those types of conditions are allowable and I pretty much assume it’ll be in there.
  14. I have long been a huge McCabe fan (and not just because he helped me win @tom webster’s contest several years back. I think he’s a confident and good player and a leader. A team will get him on a one year deal and when he’s healthy he’ll slot in on their second pairing. I COULD see him picking a middling team that offers more money and more guaranteed opportunity, as well.
  15. With all the tampering already going on McCabe knows whether or not he’s got interest out there. A good team will buy low on him. So now Bogo was a bad leader? I wish the latter were common. It’d make hockey offseasons so much more fun and would hold teams accountable for constantly short-terming good players.
  16. No interest in Kahun. At some point we have to let go of the concepts we have of these players versus the actual player. He has been non-tendered twice. He’s exactly what Adams was talking about when he said said he didn’t want to “box out” the young guys. Suter I like because there’s actually production and potential there.
  17. Can be play either wing. Another player of interest here. Pius Suter had 14-13-27 in 55 games as a rookie.
  18. It can hurt at first but over time you get better.
  19. xGF (ex girlfriends)
  20. I think the experiment is fun and warranted.
  21. I know you said not to ask about it but why do I remember Lambert and Savoie being considered the very clear second and third prospects who were also considered to be clear-cut game changers?
  22. You’re also not getting Jack with a protected first. If we get one that has protections I’ll be pretty pissed. If we get one that has protections in each of the next two seasons I quit.
  23. I think the board’s angst over the Quinn pick has him being undervalued here. I also think we’re undervaluing our own unprotected 2022 first.
