  1. Tyler Myers’ brother Quentin Grimes was drafted by the Knicks. First brother duo to be drafted into NBA& NHL
  2. He also did mention the possibility of doing an Eichel deal that helps “now” but they could just be lip service.
  3. He has a say, too, because of the 10-5 rule (10 years of service in the league, 5 straight with one tram gives him a no-trade clause). I do think if the Nats told him the Yankees gave him the best deal he wouldn’t screw the Nats. He’s one of the top three or four best pitchers of this generation.
  4. The report right now is that he wants to go to the NL West. He wants to win a title and being in the NL will boost his value as a free agent because of those ballparks.
  5. As a Nats fan I’m sitting here waiting for that Padres/Scherzer deal to get finalized if it ever does. Going to be heartbreaking to see him in another jersey but I hope to see him win another ring.
  6. John Murphy is absolutely atrocious so it’s always been on the Sabres to provide a good Buffalo sports broadcast. I really hope Dunleavy is ready to fill those shoes.
  7. At the very least it was opportunistic but unsubtle, in both cases. And while I know your case for it being on the team (which is at the very least partially accurate), Kevyn Adams has also made it clear in multiple cases that Jack has asked out.
  8. It’s clear to me. Jack Eichel wants to be elsewhere. And that’s fine.
  9. Come on. The end of season presser was plain and clear. As was the agents’ statement, what, a week ago? 😂 It was “J@ck off” this team.
  10. Correct. He will do so if that’s what it takes for him to continue to be paid and for him to increase potential in finding his new home.
  11. I’m in this very weird point over Sabres fan existence where I’m just kind of mad at everyone but also apathetic (and increasingly so). I’m mad at Adams that a deal isn’t done and maybe that’s not his fault, but I also think the media narrative that he came in last offseason and immediately started looking to move Jack is unforgivable if true. I’m also pissed at Jack. I think he’s handled this situation about as poorly as you could expect from any player, let alone a captain. No, I will not just dismiss him going on a Boston news network and saying he hopes to play for the rival team someday and then skating on that team’s practice ice two weeks later. It’s embarrassing and he should feel bad, but I also know exactly what he’s doing and it is what it is. Both sides screwed each other hard and continue to do so. It’s time to move on. I want J@ck off this team. Edit: had to clarify because “J@ck off” is bleeped on here. Jack and his agents have already made very clear he does not want to be here. It’s something that seems to be forgotten during these conversations. He has no interest in ever playing for this team again. That said, I still think he does. At least for 15-20 more games. Maybe more, maybe less.
  12. Everything I’ve seen as it specifically pertains to Eichel over the last few days points me to him returning. I’m hoping that’s a testament to Adams’ negotiating.
  13. I think it’s more likely than not he’s with the team when camp starts.
  14. Publicly he has held this very consistently and well. He probably let on a little too much with the whole comments about being okay with him coming to camp but that cat is already out of the bag so you’ve got to keep cool and confident here on out.
  15. But if you punch all your opponents in the face hard enough there’s nobody left to compete against and you automatically win! It’s like rock’em sock’em robots.
  16. I look forward to him being two minutes late and everyone going into a panic
  17. I saw that, too. Absolutely ridiculous thinking.
  18. I’m guessing this is to announce a new mask requirement since cases are up right now
  19. Aren’t those the same person? Jk but my point was centered around Hamilton’s long crusade against Samson.
  20. Paul Hamilton’s history of judging players’ character definitely backs him up here.
  21. Yup. All the new rules did was disincentivized sucking for a long time which … sounds nice.
  22. I’m sure you and a former NHL executive have had this incredibly specific conversation.
  23. You weren’t before either. The top three were drawn. Now only two lotteries are drawn meaning the worst team is guaranteed a top three pick instead of a top four pick. Teams can also only move up a max of ten spots. The odds of the last team getting the first pick have gone up because of the new rules. False, the new rules increase the chance of the last place team getting the first pick.
