... what? Oh, I realize you're referring to He Who Must Not Be Named from HockeyBuzzkill. That's useless info for me.
-
Vegas reported deal with Denault is allegedly not done so we'll see. I do think there's a chance (a small one) that they'd get involved with Eichel even with that signing but who knows. I like New Jersey being the front-runner here because no Eichel teams would be spending big on either of the top two free agents.
-
Also: that makes the Skinner contract look SOOOOO bad (it looks bad on its own anyways). We paid $2M more a year over the same term AND he got a full NMC through the entire deal whereas Landeskog gets a NMC for four years and a partial NTC for the other four.
-
That's the one big piece that was in the way of some Eichel teams, methinks. Denault to some extent now that there's reports he's not going to Vegas or may at least not be committed there yet.
-
For sure but I'm a little surprised other teams (Seattle?) weren't willing to take on the contract and the 2nd rounder without forcing Tampa to pay millions to a player who will never pay even if his cap hit will never end up on their cap. Most of these are re-signings. Some are either tampering or examples of teams allowing the player to talk to other teams. The NHL probably doesn't care because even though they got rid of that "legal tampering" window it was well-liked by teams, agents and players so nobody will complain.

Unless I’m missing something They don’t need an LTIR player, it just works for them in that case.
-
It isn’t. Your price is four firsts, an elite prospect and a very good young NHL top-six winger. The Minnesota price being discussed is two elite prospects, a first and some contracts to match.
-
This team needs to stop sitting deals like this out.
-
I’m glad he did because the Blues have the best logo in sports and putting it next to the cup was cool.
-
I’d be fine with it and wouldn’t care. I only care about the position this team is in. It’s not good.
-
That’s not happening nor is it a reasonable ask.

If not for an offsides against the Chiefs Brady would not have won his final ring with the Patriots. If not for a decision to pass at the one yard line he would not have won a ring against the Seahawks. If not for one of the most unlikeliest catches in league history by Edelman on a bad pass being deflected he doesn’t beat the Falcons. If not for the tuck rule he does not beat the Raiders to advance to the Super Bowl. The if game does nothing for anyone because every playoff run comes down to a few incredibly unlikely single events. Josh Allen is improving at every turn and made some damn good plays to put them not only in position to succeed but he won games when it mattered. Games matter before and during the playoffs.

We’re not discussing a rumored package, I’m just talking about your generalized statement that Vegas is the worst partner.
-
Alex Tuch is a damn good hockey player and one of the better second pieces we can hope for. Krebs and Rossi are close in value and Boldy might never become Tuch. Minnesota’s first is undeniably worth more, though.
-
No they don’t. If they wanted to do it they’d do it. If you’re not willing to give what it takes you don’t want it.
-
He just signed an extension in Florida
-
I’ve always loved this guys name and game
-
In his casket until sundown.

They are definitely not. They have the prize in Krebs that should be at the top of any Eichel deal which is the most important piece. Tuch should have a ton of appeal here, as well. He’s a guy I could see wearing the C. They’re not moving Theodore. He’s one of the best defensemen in the league and is under control on a very good contract.
-
Indefinitely think they flip Smith quickly or just wait for the deadline but either way he’d be off the books within a year. Then there’s a $5M difference.
-
Easy no for me. Their first is barely worth a damn thing and I’m skeptical about Hague’s ability to be anything more than a second or third pairing dman. So it’s basically Eichel for Krebs and two low-chance lottery tickets.
-
I wouldn’t call it confirmed. Kennedy isn’t someone I find reliable and has a history of nonsensical Buffalo takes.
