I agree with everything except the last part on Bylsma because I honestly don't know one way or the other. Haven't seen much to tell me he isn't. I think GMTM is brilliant and knows exactly what he's doing.
-
Maybe. Doubt it, though. You can both "not try to win" and "not try to lose" at the same time. It's possible for the results to literally not matter to a franchise for a year while they build.

I'm not convinced Bylsma doesn't have a clue what he's doing... This year was always going to be about mixing and matching and seeing what works. This team is still lacking in talent (moreso than I thought), so it's not like he's playing great players on the fourth line while giving old scrubs big minutes. I thought early on that guys like Gionta would play important powerplay and other minutes while the younger guys focused on just playing a good 5-on-5 game before they were slowly given more and more responsibility. It hasn't happened as fast as I thought it should, though... So I will give you that. O'Reilly, Eichel, Reinhart, McGinn, Ristolainen and the goaltenders are all having great years for what we expected from them. McCabe looks like a legitimate NHL defenseman after nearly everybody was saying there's no way he should be playing in the NHL this season. Hell, even Weber has been much better this season. Deslauriers was playing a nice role before getting hurt. Girgensons, Moulson, Larsson, Gorges, Ennis and Franson have all been disappointing to this point. Lehner (his starting goaltender) has played less than a full game and Bogosian was out for a good chunk of time. For this team to be winning games it's going to need a bunch of guys who aren't great players to play like they are. Maybe a great coach could get them to do so, but I highly doubt it.

A few reporters at the game said at least two of the four he let in were unstoppable whacky bounces... Can't really tell a ton from the highlights with no replays except on the first one. First game back after a long-term injury.

Adam Gase is likely to be named the Miami Dolphins head coach. He's the offensive coordinator in Chicago and was the offensive coordinator/quarterbacks coach previously.

All of us but me and you, apparently.

They lost seven of eight near the beginning of the 12/13 season. Eight of nine in the middle of the 11/12 season. But they never lost more than five straight in those seasons.

This is a big part of it. As pointed out above, you're overstating your point and I intentionally took it literally. I'm not insane, nor are you. But "freaking Backstrom" is a superstar in sheep's clothing. I'm not saying they "readily" trade OEL. I don't think they'll ever actively engage in trade talks about him unless he publicly demands it or his contract is up and they have to move him. However, you take the star young forward over him here. And I LOOOOOOOOVE OEL. Think he's closer to a top-five dman than top-ten as you have him, but I still think that franchise moves him for a wide array of players. Maybe a few less than those I named, but most of those easily.

Crosby, Ovechkin, Benn, Seguin, McDavid, Eichel, Malkin, Backstrom, P. Kane, Toews, Kopitar, Price, Holtby, McKinnon, Barkov, Tavares, Karlsson, Doughty, Quick, Tarasenko, Bergeron, Giroux, Subban... I got close off the top of my head.

Planned Parenthood will endorse Hilary this weekend which is the first time they've endorsed a candidate before primaries...

GIF of the goal: https://twitter.com/myregularface/status/685669977463074816 Pretty pass by McGinn, great shot by ROR. -
I don't think this is even a little accurate... I could probably think of 30. Also, if Arizona has a top five this year and we're first I probably would give them Matthews for their first and OEL if that were offered.
-
I'm willing to bet we could if we're willing to give them Risto or Reinhart plus. (Meaning it's not happening)

Not a great defensive dman but he's GREAT offensively and will move the puck... http://public.tableau.com/shared/XDRRNQQYD?:display_count=yes

I don't disagree. Plus Yandle is a lefty.

Bob McKenzie @TSNBobMcKenzie Etem to VAN is being done. Nick Jensen and late pick going the other way. Bob McKenzie @TSNBobMcKenzie I believe the pick is 2017 7th rounder but that's not 100 per cent.
-
I agree. Looking at the Yandle deal: John Moore (meh d prospect that hadn't been working), Anthony Duclair (big time forward prospect), 2017 1st and 2015 2nd. That's a hefty price to pay if they use that as their springboard (I love Yanlde but think Shattenkirk is better).

Ron Brooks won't be back Pick 6 @RonBrooks33 Preciate everybody with the @buffalobills and the great fans of WNY!!! It's been a good ride. Sad to leave but business is business
-
Yea, I would think. He's not a very appealing player in the first place so why waste time with somebody who made stupid comments?

http://insider.espn.go.com/blog/craig-custance/insider/post?id=6899 He's a righty but I still think this would be awesome.

If San Diego and Oakland go to LA they'll realign, for sure. Rumor two offseasons ago is that the NFL planned to move Seattle back to the AFC if it comes to that.

Don't really know where to put this... But I wish Eichel would've stuck with 41. It really grew on me quick. -
With the second QB they took in that draft. :D

16 years since the Titans did that one thing against that one team. AFC North (BAL and Cincy on the road, PIT and CLE at home). NFC West (San Fran and Zona at home, St. Louis and Seattle on the road). That is if they don't relocate St. Louis to LA or don't realign if SD and Oakland go to LA.
