Empire Sports Network? Nope. "MSG Western New York"
Hoss replied to MBHockey13's topic in The Aud Club
Good question. I wonder if it'll kick in this season or when the new deal kicks in (after this coming season). Maybe they tore up the last year to get this deal done... Hmmm... -
Russo, in general, is one of the more well-connected reporters in the entire league.
-
Players 22 or 23 years old sign two-year entry level deals.
-
Players 25 and under have to sign entry-level contracts. The only difference time makes is the length. Vesey is 23 so his contract will be two years. Edit: I see what you're saying now, but he'll still be an RFA after his first contract. I thought you were saying he could sign whatever contract he wants come August 15th which is not the case. Gotcha.
-
Nope. He still has to sign an entry-level deal when a UFA.
-
The Sabres announcing the trade. This is stupid and irrelevant, but the tweet is wrong. Eichel didn't like the post.
-
Florida is also a winning team right now who could be a contender with an addition like him and progress from youth. They've got everything you could want. He'd be on a pair with Ekblad, too. He hasn't signed any contracts outside of Arizona yet. And the rumors about him signing in Boston come from him being from Boston.

Renaud Lavoie: #sabres Nicolas Deslauriers 16-17 $775 000, 17-18 $775 000 #tvasports
-
I don't think I've ever heard this. Source? There were rumors he would consider a return to Arizona.
-
Good move. I like Nic and this gives us the second NHL body we need to expose to the expansion draft.
-
Why wouldn't they?

The Sabres made this official, by the way. http://bufsabres.co/W9RWVS -
If his rep is right and it's not just a negotiating tactic that's frustrating. It would probably be a good idea for Vesey to sign now and get into somebody's system. Get to the camps. Be in the city.

6th and a conditional 2017 4th (condition is if Yandle signs).

Richards: .@FlaPanthers getting the negotiating rights to UFA defenseman Keith Yandle for a draft pick as well as a conditional if he signs. I love Evander but this is an interesting question. Certainly would necessitate a second winger addition (assuming Vesey signs). That's when you call Edmonton and beg for Hall or Eberle.

McKenzie: BUF GM on trading for Vesey rights: "Why not us? Why not give it a shot? We have a spot in our Top 6 for him. We had four 3rd-round picks."
-
Nice move if he signs quickly. Will help set up the rest of the offseason.

So there's also no chance that Jon has changed completely after a life-changing event? Being murdered is pretty life changing, right? Since his death he has killed those responsible, given up his oath to the night's watch (got off on a technicality), ran straight into the face of danger to save his brother and beat Ramsey to a bloody pulp (he easily could have just stabbed him to end it). He only stopped for the look on Sansa's face (for his family). This is a pattern of behavior. Jon seems fed up with the world he's in and the way it has resulted in so many wrongdoings against those he cares about most. He clearly cares about his family. I also don't think it's a coincidence that Jon mentioned in this very episode that Ramsey's refusal to fight one-on-one for his own army could have a negative impact on his soldiers. What do you think Jon's soldiers might think if they watched Jon Snow, their commander, just sit there and watch his brother die running to him?

I disagree on all this nitpicking about Jon Snow's actions. He didn't charge the army, he was running because otherwise he would just sit there and watch his brother get killed. He ran to get to him as soon as possible, then once he got out there he was exposed when Ramsey sent his soldiers in. I thought it was badass and well done. It's a world with dragons, people being revived from death and a girl whose necklace turns her from erection inflator to erection deflator. We can't believe that a man would act irrationally when he sees his brother get shot in the heart with an arrow? The biggest, and really only, fault I saw in the show was that he just ran straight. If you gave anybody that big of a head start in a wide open field against even the best archer in the world I'm going to guess it'd be next to impossible for the archer to hit you.

I doubt we'd buy him out. I imagine he'd definitely be exposed to the expansion draft but you don't "dump" somebody in the expansion draft because there's no guarantee he's taken.

We should have the title of this changed or start it up in a new thread. MSG WNY is HUGE news. -
Dreger: CBJ continues to listen to interest in #3 pick, however, sources say CBJ would like to attach a contract, (Hartnell) for cap space...1/2 ...CBJ still has to extend Seth Jones which will be costly. Also approaching offer sheet time and Jones could be prime target. I would definitely be willing to bring on Hartnell if it significantly lightens the cost otherwise. And I do think Hartnell could be a good player to have despite his brutal contract.

The new title being "MSG Western New York" with content coming from Rochester, too. I love this. I hope the Amerks and Bandits games will be involved and that we get very little NYC content (I imagine we'll still get Knicks games on Sabres off days). -
Seven years, $10 mill. I think that'll be the ballpark of serious offers.

Going to Miami was absolutely the right decision. He was wrong and stupid for doing it the way he did, but I forgave him once he returned while still being the best player in the world. I don't think everybody is required to be happy about this but wishing actual death on a sports figure is vile.
