  1. I will always love that dude despite the mishaps. Just an entertaining player and person.
  2. Josh is back today. Some beautiful plays despite the bad Diggs miss and throwing behind Knox on third down
  3. The last few drives have been peak-drought bad
  4. Right? The anthem doesn’t guarantee us anything we can have freedom without it! 😉
  5. It’s not just happening here. It happens in other spaces where Sabres fans dwell. This is a toxic situation for everyone involved.
  6. I’m higher on Savoie than a lot of the recent rankings I’ve seen but it would take either a long-term injury or a complete disappearance from Wright. If Wright just stays the course and doesn’t take a jump I don’t think there’s anything reasonable Savoie could do in one season to jump him.
  7. It’s an absolute slam dunk that several will, at least in the stat sheet. Someone has to perform on bad teams. They can be historically bad, sure (they won’t be), but they will gravitate towards the mean which will require some “bad” players to produce above what they would normally be expected to do. Players will be given opportunities they wouldn’t otherwise have. I’d guess one or two of the minimum contract guys and a couple of the young guys. Mitts and Cozens could certainly breakout. I think Oskari Laaksonen may surprise.
  8. OP is clearly talking about players on the Sabres and appears to be trying to inject at least some form of light-hearted positivity to the board that sorely needs it. This is unnecessary sadboy behavior.
  9. Welp the Jays are starting to kiss the season goodbye. They’ll need a ninth inning comeback against the lowly Twins to not go down two games as the Yankees are smashing the Red Sox right now. Sweeping the Yankees would still help but thankfully they still have the O’s at the end of the year while the Yankees have the Rays in their final series.
  10. Jack Eichel is tied for the second-longest serving captain in franchise history.
  11. Frankly, I think this is a perfect example of just how toxic the situation is for the franchise, city and fanbase. Adams needs to find a workable deal and end this.
  12. Buffalo has made it clear they have to move Jack and want to do so. It will resolve before the NMC kicks in but if it gets to that point they do not hold all the power. This is a toxic situation that will absolutely have some impact on the franchise image and morale until it ends.
  13. My guess is the financial cost to doing so would be far more than just the $50M he's giving up. I think the Sabres would likely sue the ***** out of him. I think we've heard Minnesota (and maybe Anaheim?) are willing to have him do the ADR.
  14. I agree with your view of the article. It's thought-provoking and something that has been discussed pretty extensively among OTHER fanbases that I've seen (but not so much this one, or at least here). This is something that's going to impact his life likely forever so it's at worst morally questionable to deny it (freeman says it's not medically advised which isn't accurate, it's just not advised by the Sabres doctors). I do believe the Sabres should be negotiating a way to get Jack the surgery he desires. They should demand a modification to the NMC and maybe get some language in there as to what happens should the surgery go wrong. I don't believe the bold is accurate for a second, though. That's far too much risk for Jack.
  15. Or maybe the decision from all involved was that the two parties should continue to make the situation uglier and sabotage the image of the franchise, the player and the league. I guess we don't know what we don't know!
  16. Yup. They’re going to need help from Boston, especially after getting run off the field by the Twins tonight.
  17. It already happened. NHL and NHLPA officials met with the Sabres in August over the surgery issue.
  18. Cupping is often used for nothing more than general soreness for athletes. Many Olympic gold medalists have been spotted with cupping marks mid-performance. Mostly because its practice is completely made up with little to no actual known benefits. I definitely trust Beane. His main focus last offseason was certainly to just keep the band together which is an interesting approach. I think it should work because this team has the talent to win and cover up a few deficiencies here or there.
  19. No but you do need everything to be about prospects you’re obsessed with who have yet to prove anything 😋
  20. Last year Wallace was picked on regularly when teams needed a quick out from good pressure and coverage. CB2 isn't somewhere I think they want to spend big but I definitely think they'll try to upgrade it. I believe they spoke with Patrick Peterson this offseason before he signed with the Vikings.
  21. Surprised neither was upgraded last offseason. Wallace is not a number two. They've given him plenty of chances. He was bad in week one. He did a good job baiting on the INT and had a nice breakup earlier, too. I love him as a depth guy.
  22. Smart money has been on him staying a Sabre until the injury was sorted out for a few months now but the chances of him remaining a Sabre long term are infinitesimal.
  23. I believe the assumption that GMKA is handling this well takes far more assuming than believing he’s failed miserably does.
  24. Yes but it’s going to be uncensored with commentary by Paul Bissonette on ESPN+.
