  1. I think that’s been the thought from the beginning.
  2. Jays got blown out so they finally decided to respond
  3. I both dislike Jack Eichel and think GMKA is completely lost. I do think Jack owns a good chunk of the responsibility but I think KA has managed this about as poorly as you possibly could given what we do know.
  4. Matt Milano is the highest-rated linebacker in the league through two weeks by fan-favorite publication Pro Football Focus. Tremaine was given the game ball by McDermott after the game. Coach Clappy recognized him for being the quarterback of a defense that shutout the Fins. We've got two damn good linebackers. This defense should be good for a long time.
  5. I find it odd that people are just sitting there and saying they respect KA exclusively because a deal hasn't happened. We don't know what deals have or haven't been offered. We do know this situation looks historically bad for the franchise. That's enough for me to say Adams is completely lost here and the situation will only continue to spiral until a deal is done.
  6. Since we've now devolved into changing the title of other threads every time a new rumor goes down I'll plant this here: https://www.sportsnet.ca/nhl/article/32-thoughts-state-rfa-market-training-camps-open/
  7. Jack was at Roswell today meeting with kids and signing autographs for them.
  8. Kaprizov extended 5 years at $9M.
  9. My post pretty clearly provided more context and useful information. 😋
  10. You spelled Rousseau correctly! 🎉 Basham did not dress. Another healthy scratch. Sounds like a similar situation to Epenesa last year: they don’t feel like they need to force him into game action while they have him work to get his body into a place they want him to be playing at as a pro.
  11. All of the rumors get their own thread. There is no purpose to this thread.
  12. That’s a bad loss for the Jays. Up 2-0 through much of the game but Ray fell apart before being pulled and then get bases loaded down 2 in the 9th with nothing to show for it. Doesn’t help that a clear ball four with the bases loaded was called a strike.
  13. A shame we don’t play the Jets early in the season with how putrid Zach Wilson looks. He’ll have more time to pick up on the NFL game but this defense would be salivating if he were lining up across from them.
  14. This is right on both points. It feels a lot better to be able to criticize after a big win vs a tight loss.
  15. There’s been some waiting on the ball to get to them, for sure. There was a big one in week one that got blamed on Josh that was mostly Diggs just sitting and waiting for the ball.
  16. Most of my greatest moments are mistakes, too. Including one that happened nine months before I was born.
  17. I’m not putting it all on Josh. I haven’t said anything about the receivers and I’m sure there’s some blame to go there but most of the stuff about receivers not getting open is pure assumption since we don’t really know. There was a crossing route to Sanders early in the game where Sanders burned his man and Josh just threw way too far in front. On the deep ball that Diggs just moss’d Howard on Diggs got open and should’ve walked in deep and Josh was short but his WR made a play. There was another where Diggs burned two defenders but Josh threw short and it ended up being incomplete. On the Diggs TD he came back to the QB to make a play. His day could’ve been worse if not for Diggs making some plays.
  18. The o-line continues to suck which is the biggest issue through two weeks, but it’s worth noting there were still plays Josh was able to sit in the pocket and throw and he still missed on many of those. They won’t play a team with as good of a defensive backfield as Miami for a while but Washington has a very good pass rush to worry about next week. Getting Singletary going is the big thing from yesterday’s game we should all take away and celebrate.
  19. No, they’re (we’re) not. He was bad. It was plain as day. He missed a handful of wide open throws and had time on most of them. There’s nothing wrong with calling out when Allen is struggling.
  20. Josh was flat out bad. There’s no way to dance around it. Continues to miss big plays but thankfully he started slow last year and turned it on semi-early so I’m banking on the same thing happening. To beat down a decent opponent 35-0 when you get a bad performance at QB is an awesome thing to watch. This is a contender once Josh starts making plays. Yup. It seems like he may have tweaked his mechanics again this offseason trying to go from great to … greater? He should work on just getting back to who he was last year. He could be the player he was last year for ten years and he’d be a first ballot Hall of Famer.
  21. I don’t think there was ever a question.
  22. If he’s signing a long-term deal it’s going to be $8M. The d market is wild right now.
