  1. This has been a good learning experience.
  2. Literally every time.
  3. I, too, do not think Mogilny should be above Andreychuk or Housley. The info from We've and N'eo are driving my vote to Housley, though. N'eo made me more confident in thinking Andreychuk belongs firmly around this spot. I don't think I'll budge on getting him on the list once Housley is there. Maybe Schoenfield.
  4. My vote is still up for grabs, and I'm still looking for answers as to why Dave Andreychuk gets little to not love near the top of lists. His numbers are gaudy. Bad defensive game? He has a statue in Tampa Bay? What is it? I put my vote in for Dave Andreychuk but could be swayed. I just think he's a little under appreciated.
  5. They'd certainly have a bone to pick with Mogilny. ;) One person admitted they switched their vote. I don't doubt others did. Alex was at 6 and Rico was at 4 last time I checked last night. Things happen. A vote's a vote. This is accurate and has been made clear. It seems like the immediate assumption should be their time as a Sabre first if you haven't been told otherwise anyways.
  6. For transparency's sake, this is what I saw when I got on this morning and ended the poll: Also: it's time to give Dom a statue. And RJ.
  7. On claims the media rigged the election - yea, they did. They rigged it for you, though, Donald. Rick WilsonVerified account‏@TheRickWilson Never forget. There was no movement. The media handed him this on a plate. I still view the media as a public service. It's not supposed to be about the clicks and what they think will cause the most debate, it's supposed to inform and provide stories the public needs and should know. As a public service I would hope the media would report the hell out of blatantly racist and misogynistic beast blowing up. If that's "rigging" an election then good. Job well done.
  8. I believe Carolina does it. Been to probably five games down there and remember hearing it.
  9. I added Schoenfield. He was in the last poll but didn't get many votes. There are many worthy candidates at this point which makes it tough, because then it'll take longer to separate and get a definitive answer. I would also vote Schoenfield over Ramsey with the little I know. If more people would actually comment about who and why they think players should get more votes it would help. N'eo has been very helpful. Speaking of: any particular reason the team's second-leading scorer (Andreychuk) doesn't get more love? A beast on the power play.
  10. Sal Capaccio just had a smart string of tweets about why running the ball is easier/more common now. It's been a passing league with spread offenses long enough for teams to adjust defensive personnel to smaller, faster players which makes it harder to stop the run. The teams that stuff the run are the ones that are lucky enough to find players that can do both on the defensive side but there aren't enough that can do both for the league to stop both the pass and the run.
  11. And, to my surprise, Rick Martin came back and won it. Poll editing now. I have a screenshot of the results if anybody would like to see them.
  12. This was his only option are he should have. Or he should've gotten the blatant cross checking call that was the only way Monahan was getting the puck from him. He was weak on the puck but I'm fine with his decision in that situation. O'Reilly was behind the net and Brodie was off screen but right there to make the play on him. McCabe was standing in front of the net. The anger of the moment had me blaming the refs and Reinhart's decision making. Now I blame the refs and Reinhart's lack of strength on the puck.
  13. Everybody keeps saying Reinhart should've thrown the puck over to ROR on the last play, but he made the right decision not to. Brodie was hovering right behind ROR and could've easily stepped in and taken the puck or removed ROR and taken it. He was kind of out of options because his teammates weren't in position to receive the puck.
  14. Franson is terrible and Nelson isn't the answer to him. Guhle can no longer get the look this year. Only way he plays for the Sabres this year is either in an emergency recall which won't happen because they'll go to Rochester or make a transaction for that OR after his junior season ends.
  15. Sadly I don't doubt this but let's not let the groupthink that social media is intern work slip in. It's not. You need experience and expertise to do it well.
  16. Holy that was blatant
  17. Marcus Foligno is now one goal away from his "nice goal" quota for the year
  18. That wasn't luck. That was a terrible play.
  19. Okay it's officially dying when I wake up tomorrow then, I guess. If it's tied the first time I enter the thread and it isn't tied will determine the winner. From now on I'll make it 24 hours.
  20. Josh Gorges and Marcus Foligno
  21. In my experience the team, despite very minor improvements, is definitively bottom five in the league. They might be dead last. A total lack of personality or understanding (both of how sports social media accounts are supposed to work and how hockey works).
  22. That's a very Gus goal and I'll take it
  23. Does anybody else here follow the Sabres on Twitter? Do you follow other teams on Twitter? How does Sabres Twitter stand up against those other teams?
  24. I posted that after watching it live. Initially thought he used the hip to toss him. Also: Zadorov is having a miserable night for Colorado.
  25. Phew thought I might've killed the thread talking about the meaning of music and all that jazz.
