LeBron was torn apart for going ring chasing in Miami.

I ignored freeman, but I’m laughing a bit at what that dude finds to be a suspendible offense here. Apparently saying it’s okay to murder people who use drugs is only worth a snide remark. Apparently informing someone their loved one is deserving of a similar fate is not worthy. A waste of time and energy.

I was very fond of the Warriors before Durant joined. I still don't mind that it's happening to that fan base, but I certainly will be rooting for the East in the Finals once again. Ideally my Raptors.

Absolutely. This was a very civil discussion until NB exposed himself. Someone very close to me has been battling addiction for a long time. I wish to the stars that he never ends up in your care. I'm sorry not every disease can be patched up with a quick, easy fix.

This is one of the most sustained civil discussions I’ve seen here.

Jon Snow abandoning the wall to join the wildlings at the end was a great moment.

I’m still mostly here but the deal needed to be better.

This works in some cases but it’s easier to separate a person from a disease than it is to separate a person from committing gruesome murder.
-
If you think about it and look at the pieces we got, it really makes you think. Berglund, Tage Thompson, a pick, Vlad. That’s four pieces. Two veterans, a talented rookie and a first. Two guys who have won playoff games, a kid who is pretty cute and maybe another kid who is also cute. Berglund and Vlad are good looking men, too. When you look at it, it really boils down to this: Botterill messed up, this trade sucks.
-
I very much struggle with separating the person from the “entertainer.” I don’t view them as separate souls. They are a marriage that doesn’t even end with death, and so when someone does something ghastly I simply cannot look back on their production with any sort of kind eye while ignoring what was in their heart. The same heart that drove them to great success drove them to commit unspeakable acts. Down with OJ, down with MJ, damn the man who cannot hold themself to a higher standard. I do not hold any form of resentment towards those who can acknowledge who OJ is and what he’s done while still wanting his number held aside for the rest of the franchise’s time in Buffalo. I reserve that for the people committing the crime.
-
Promise I’m asking this for legitimate clarity’s sake: bringing Ali into this, how are you making that connection? Are you saying he and OJ are complicate for what they’ve done throughout their lives or purely for who they were as athletes in their prime? Is he without a doubt the best player in Bills history or does Bruce have an argument there?

Ranking realistic Sabres targets based purely on how much their name screams "successful hockey player": 1. Alex Turcotte 19/48 2. Matthew Boldy 9/49 3. Cole Caufield 59 4. Dylan Cozens 24 5. Bowen Byram 44 6. Trevor Zegras 11/53 7. Kirby Dach 77 8. Peyton Krebs 19 Same group but mixing name and number choice: 1. Alex Turcotte (19/48) 2. Dylan Cozens (24) 3. Bowen Byram (44) 4. Matthew Boldy (9/49) -- loses points as 49 becomes somewhat likely here 5. Kirby Dach (77) 6. Peyton Krebs (19) 7. Trevos Zegras (11/53) -- would likely need a new number here but 53 is yikesville 8. Cole Caufield (59) -- you're fired, Cole These are the definitive and only rankings you need. Scientific research done and approved by me, unable to be questioned by any.

As the most namby pamby little bitch on this website: this is a terrible take.

When you retire a number (they never actually "officially" did but they certainly weren't giving it out) you're honoring that person FOREVER. Obviously all humans have a duty to live a life operating within good moral standards (who decides what those are on a minute level is hard to say but we can all agree murder is outside any good moral standard), but when you're being honored by an organization forever then what you do the rest of your life reflects on that organization. The team should give someone his number, immediately cut that player, piss on the number 32 practice jersey, then let whoever wants to wear it wear it. Then they should drop a bomb on his spot on the Wall of Fame.
-
They are now the only team that does this. And they need to ditch it. I don't think the league would count the tiny tweaks they made in 2017 as a full change, so I'd guess they can go back whenever they want.
-
Of note: there's an alternate logo that will also be used, per the team's release. https://www.nhl.com/sabres/news/sabres-unveil-logos-for-50th-anniversary-season/c-307119256

While I think they failed in making the last two seasons shorter and this wasn’t the best they could’ve done, I’m mildly satisfied which I’m fine with. They definitely got cold feet once the audience figured everything out, though. But most of the main complaints I’ve seen are easily dismissed. ”But what about Jon’s lineage, you spent this much time on his true identity and in the end it doesn’t matter.” Bro, did you not hear the literal dozens of references to it over the last two seasons and how it drove Dany to complete madness? It mattered. But then he killed the queen and paid the price. ”But what about Arya’s ability to wear anybody’s face, why didn’t they use that?” She ***** used it. She got revenge for the Red Wedding, maybe the most shocking scene in television history. Then she decided she no longer wanted to be faceless. She needed to be Arya Stark. ”But Bran can time travel, why doesn’t he do that and save everyone?” Because it doesn’t work like that and because he’s been warned several times that it’s dangerous. Oh, and he saw first hand how dangerous it can be when Hodor had a gigantic seizure.

I think the actual patch stitching will be a real gold as opposed to the mustard yellow that shows through that type of printing.

It was all about the cost to make the show, methinks.

Movies / TV Shows - I Have Watched / Plan To Watch
Hoss replied to Sabres Fan in NS's topic in The Aud Club
Rewatching Haunting of Hill House on Netflix. This show is essential for anyone who enjoys horror and/or family drama series. It’s also the first time I’ve seen sleep paralysis represented in pop culture in any way, and it’s very well done. There’s a two-episode span that’s unmatched in any series I’ve ever watched. -
ban me from this forum i don’t care but every time i read this dumb ***** i just laugh in the face of whoever said it. it’s incredibly unintelligent and insecure. so at the absolute worse what a few seconds of screen showing a handful of women with superpowers banding together did was pander to a specific group of people. what a crime. it’s a movie about superheroes, how dare they pander to nerd culture. there’s a couple hot guys in it, how dare they pander to those attracted to the male figure. thor is fat but still able to fight masterfully, how dare they pander to the obese. it’s not pandering, it’s called inclusivity (and not even in the way that triggers old dweebs who want to go back to when women were considered the property of their husbands). it’s a three-hour movie for christ’s sake. because they had a single small moment showing that women might choose to unite their powers in a single moment is “ridiculous.” get outta here with that lazy garbage. in reacting to that scene in this way it’s clear you’ve got a major issue that needs some serious exorcising. captain marvel got a fair bit of criticism for pandering to women which is hilarious because there’s a million male superheroes and nobody ever complained about that. when we left the theatre with my friend’s fiancé she noted that she never really cared about the superhero movies but legitimately enjoyed that one because she looks like her. that’s dope. that’s what matters.
