  1. Yes! My first GDT! The NHL leading Big Bad Bruins are coming to town and that is likely not a good thing for the Sabres as they try and keep themselves relevant in the playoffs race. Boston Bruins (52-11-5, first in the Atlantic Division) vs. Buffalo Sabres (33-29-6, fifth in the Atlantic Division) Buffalo, New York; Sunday, 1 p.m. EDT Bruins -185, Sabres +156; over/under is 6.5 BOTTOM LINE: The Buffalo Sabres host the Boston Bruins after Victor Olofsson scored two goals in the Sabres' 5-2 loss to the Philadelphia Flyers. Buffalo is 33-29-6 overall and 10-10-1 against the Atlantic Division. The Sabres have scored 247 total goals (3.6 per game) to rank third in the league. Boston is 52-11-5 overall and 12-5-3 against the Atlantic Division. The Bruins are 15-4-4 in games their opponents serve more penalty minutes. The teams play Sunday for the fourth time this season. The Bruins won the previous matchup 3-1. TOP PERFORMERS: Jeff Skinner has 29 goals and 38 assists for the Sabres. Olofsson has three goals over the past 10 games. David Pastrnak has scored 47 goals with 44 assists for the Bruins. Dmitry Orlov has three goals and nine assists over the past 10 games. LAST 10 GAMES: Sabres: 2-6-2, averaging 2.8 goals, 4.3 assists, 2.8 penalties and 5.9 penalty minutes while giving up 4.2 goals per game. INJURIES: Sabres: Eric Comrie: out (lower body), Mattias Samuelsson: out (upper body). Bruins: Nick Foligno: out (lower-body), Derek Forbort: day to day (lower body), Taylor Hall: out (lower body).
  2. The Flyers are trash dude. Trash. The Sabres should not be losing to this joke of a team.
  3. 5 periods against the Flyers and 8-0 is the score. Inexcusably bad to the 2nd worst team in the NHL
  4. I have no idea why they have so much trouble with this trash ass Flyers team but they have outsckres the Sabres 5-0 over the last 4 periods of play.
  5. I grew up on the East Side of Buffalo a few blocks from the Langfield Projects...I've seen quite a lot worse live in front of my face.
  6. Why do our goalies always suck at the shootouts?? Inexcusable loss.
  7. I don't consider that "disturbing". Disturbing to me would be if he pushed it down the stairs with someone in it. That would be pretty disturbing. This is simply some young, immature kid doing something stupid that he will look back on 5 years from now and think "What the hell was I doing??"
  8. Wild game...Caps scored 2 goals in the final minute of the first 8 seconds apart to take a 3-1 lead into the intermission, then scored with 5 seconds left in the 2nd to take a 4-3 lead into the intermission. Kotalik then scored with 1:43 left in the 3rd to give the Sabres their first lead and Afinigenov said I'll do you one better and scored with 1 second left in the game to ice a 6-4 Sabres win.
  9. They want to make it a dramatic, last day of the season, watch an OT game for the Isles after they play in the dressing room to see them lose and get in the playoffs that way like the Bills did...
  10. Let's get it...beat the Caps twice already and they may be without Ovi... @bob_sauve28 why do you have news from like 2005-06 in the story? 😂
  11. The problem is the Sabres play really well when chasing teams and not so well once they catch them. Happened 3 or 4 times now and they can never seem to put it together once they actually have caught up and are in a position to leapfrog them.
  12. It means if we win our 3 games in hand and beat the Isles in regulation we will have a 3 point lead on the Isles everything else being equal. Obviously we still have to play well in the other numerous games but all in all we are in about as good of a spot as we could have hoped for after how last week went with us and with the other teams
  13. We do control our own destiny, with some cushion actually. 3 games in hand on Isles and we play them once more. Yesterday went perfect for the Sabres. Isles, Pens, Sens, Caps and Red Wings all lost and all lost in regulation.
  14. It never froze all year...an extremely warm January and warmer than average February turned a lot of the snow we would have gotten in those months into almost all rain events or we could be sitting at over 200" now.
  15. Every team loses players to injury. If it derails you that badly, you aren't ready for primetime.
  16. Buffalo is running away with the National Golden Snow Globe Award(snowiest US city with over 100K population) and going to almost assuredly win back to back titles. Up to over 132 inches as of today and still snowing although not much more is expected.
  17. He is young, should be able to add at least 10 lbs if not 12 as long as diet and nutrition is on point. Most of that will be from lower body work.
  18. Quinn has been really turning it on the last two months or so...this dude is going to be a stud next year.
  19. Sabre are great when the pressure is off and they are in chase mode. When the games get tight and they are in position to claim a playoff spot they puke on themselves and show they aren't ready for primetime yet. Growing pains. Tuch with Thompson and Skinner is a nearly unstoppable line combo...they all seem to just know where the other person will be without even having to see them. It's a joy to wach.
  20. Once again the Sabres show they are very good when chasing teams for a playoff spot...
  21. Nice! Tuch missed 3 chances for the hat trick...
