I'm not so sure Eichel isn't the problem anymore. He is the captain and under his watch this team has done nothing. Lots of different players, coaches and GMs. Same piss poor results. Maybe the reason the team performs so poorly is because their captain allows them to and doesn't hold anyone accountable. Maybe he gets coaches fired. Maybe his untouchableness on this team allows him to get away with things that wouldn't fly on other teams and rubs his teammates the wrong way? Maybe that is too harsh but at this point he could equally be part of the problem just as much as he could be part of the solution.

The Bills turned this narrative quickly...now players are lining up to both come and stay here and take discounts to do it... Winning, culture and organizations that do things the right way spread quickly once it is on the right track...the Sabres need to look at the Bills model a lot closer. Different sports but there is a LOT they could learn from that model they are using...including having the best front office in the NFL...that personnel room is STACKED.

Yes. We can't make up rules that weren't there for teams that ended games with ties. Those teams would have had the opportunity to win the games in OT just like the Sabre's had. You can't just assume they wouldn't have won and still count those as "winless" just because both teams earned a point when in fact the game counts as a loss for the Sabres.

Staal basically said what everyone knows...playing on this team is one of the worst possible experiences ever for an NHL player and the faster they can get out of here the better.

This team is beyond dreadful and seems to have almost impossible bad luck with injuries and COVID on top of it since January. I say yes and they will be somewhere in the 20s before they win another game.
