  1. Wookie, after years or trial and error, is honing his trade proposals. It's almost sad :( That said, it sounds like a nice idea and I would do it. Although that probably means its a little too good for us. Maybe we toss in a 2nd or something.
  2. On the other side, then if you ignore everyone with dissenting opinions to create a nice little echo chamber for yourself
  3. My pick: Pierre Mcguire Dude has a ton of hockey knowledge and I think it falls into the 'might be crazy enough to work' category. Plus he is the only guy who is weirder than Murray.
  4. Let's hope Sabretooth doesn't forget to say hi to Jack in the mornings :bag:

  6. I like Drury. He led us in our best days, maybe he can do it again. Everyone always commented on how smart and savvy he is. Miller as goalie coach and Roy in charge of hospitality?
  7. The other thing, Murray clearly had guys he liked - Kane and Lehner come to mind. His guys. I wonder what happens to them. Also, Antipin - I guess he isn't signing here anymore
  8. I'm saying who out there is available and better than Tim Murray? Can you give me names?
  9. Oh I don't want it. But i'm all but convinced that will happen
  10. Like Lombardi and Sutter...
  11. Lombardi and Sutter. 90% likely would be my guess
  12. Man this is so shocking. Not so sure getting rid of Murray was the right idea tbh. Is there a Gm or prospective GM out there we want? Lombardi is a player's GM and won two cups, but we already have a whole host of bad contracts. At least there is time before the draft to organise stuff.
  13. Babcock has been using Zaitsev as a top pair. Not to suggest Antipin would be the same, but he has been compared to him and has performed well in the KHL. The good players in the KHL are usually at least serviceable in the NHL.
  14. Reinhart is our most expendable piece I think. ROR and Eichel will be our two centres going forward, which makes him the awkward Gooseberry. Kane was practically the only player to score 5 on 5, our weakest area - but I could see him being gone as well due to his weird comments about warming up. However, in conjunction with the need for the coaches to have a players-focus, maybe DD was trying to force systems on players that they didn't think helped them.
  15. Out of interest, aside from being a good hockey player, what has Jack done to show leadership? He hates to lose, but that can also be blinding to the point you can't rally your troops. Even his end of year interview struck of desire to win, but not leadership
  16. Summary, please? I'm out ATM so can't watch if
  17. I hope ROR gets it
  18. I think once you are in your seat the rules are different?
  19. Yup I would trade a second for him... if he seemed willing to sign with us. I felt Vesey had decided he wanted to go to UFA and nothing we could do would stop it
  20. He hasn't played in a long time now, easy to forget really.
  21. Any thoughts on who is going to be this years dropper? My concern with Maker is that he gets drafted quite highly because of the potential for him to be Karlsson - if that makes sense. Without Karlsson in the league, I thin he goes mid-teens (where Karlssonw as drafted unsurprisingly).
  22. McKenzie is usually pretty reliable. If he doesn't expect DD gone, then I'd be inclined not to either (sadly).
  23. I actually think this might be spot on. I think Jack is struggling to understand why other players are not as opening cut up about it as he is. There is that photo of ROR still dressed in his kit when every other Colorado player had left after their loss in the playoffs, so it isn't like there aren't other players who take it hard. I don't know if Jack was more emotional in his interview because that's him or because he lost $2 million a few hours before.
  24. Both are useful depth. If I had to choose, maybe i'd lose Girgs. He seems like he could maybe do better with a clean start. There was talk of him being a gym rat when he arrived and the staff having to kick him out of the training facilities. You don't hear about that anymore, I wonder if he is coasting a bit.
  25. - he was useful last night. He is still playing atm, so can't be signed yet. Ghule and Antipin would be a nice upgrade on our D. Trade something for someone like Fowler or another young guy and we might have a decent core with Risto, Someone, McCabe, Antipin, Ghule and then two more guys filling out the 7.
