Does Reinhart have a place on this team? Or is he our Jordan Staal?

A really good number 2/3 on a fantastic contract. Gives it everything every shift. Practically limps to the bench every shift and is back out there a few minutes later. Plus is wife is hot. Buffalo fans would have loved him. Plays the game they like

Insane. So many interesting trades. Shame I would have love Hjalmarsson on our team

I'd pair him with Bealiue, so bottom pairing I guess. But I'd also want him on the pk etc.

3rd pair? If we get one more good piece I think our D core isn't too bad with Bogosian playing 7th fiddle

Dude put up nearly 30 goals and 50 points last season. Makes more sense for him to continue to play and then get sat on LTIR later. I'm sure he will always be allergic to his kit now. I think i saw a tweet saying he will miss next season at the least. Poor guy - rough way to possibly end a career.

McCabe - Risto Beaulieu - Pysyk Antipin - Bogosian Gorges I like this defence. Plus everyone is playing on their correct side. Shame we traded Pysyk away. It was truly an awful awful trade.

Reinhart was the first forward picked in his draft year. Has he really dropped to being 5th overall in a draft that has weak top end talent?

They have Smith signed for another 2 years. I'm not sure they pay $9 million or so a year for goalies when they have an internal cap. The other thing here is commitment, like Allen is signed for a long time with the Blues, so you have to trade him to make room for Lehner. I'm not sure Lehner is enough of an upgrade for teams to want to give up defence assets (something the league as a whole seems to be lacking) and then find a suitor for your goalie to make it happen.

Very few teams need goalies. Winnipeg and Calgary are probably your best shots. Dallas needs a good goalie, but is a mess defensively. Add to that, goalies are never traded for that much. Schneider was a young, proven goalie and was traded for the 9th pick on draft day. We couldn't even get Fowler for our 6th overall this year I expect.
