  1. The difference in rebuilds continues
  2. Weird there has been no trades
  3. He just can't skate for very long :p Let's hope he doesn't meet Phil Kessel anytime soon
  4. These guys have agents. Not to mention parents. Plus he is 15 and wanting to play in the NHL. You bet he watches the draft and follows the prospects above them
  5. Is this true? Is he literally the least athletic hockey player of all time? Can he skate? Or will this be the training camp reveal
  6. I thought that was somewhat confirmed he had a slightly dodge shoulder? Either ours has a dodge shoulder or he is the least athletic first round pick of all time
  7. Yeah but you're an athlete and you know there was a scandal about Bennet not being able to do it. You know you will be tested on it, i'm not asking for a Ricky montage. but squeezing one or two out doesn't seem that tough.

  9. 26 points in 81 games last season
  10. Dude was like last in the bench press and couldn't do a single pull up
  11. Don't like this pick. Seems lazy
  12. We picked the fat baby...
  13. Nolan or Reinhart. Who will be better?
  14. Cody Glass. That's who I want. Although my draft desires are historically bad. I'm more of a pro scout than an amateur :p
  15. When your centres are McDavid, Crosby, Thornton etc. then yes he is a winger, not when it is Reinhart
  16. ROR = Drury Eichel = Briere (but better) Reinhart = Roy (but better)
  17. Fair enough. I disagree though ROR and Jack are centres that win you championships. Jack is out there when you need to tie the game late and ROR is out there when you need to hold that lead in the dying minute. They are ying and yang to each other. I agree with B-Lo, Reinahrt is a square peg at the moment and I see no argument that he is better than ROR, so I see no reason he is the future of our centres.
  18. If Reinhart and Eichel are our two best centres, then I don't have a problem with them being there. But I don't like the idea of moving one into the middle at the cost of the team. As ever, our response to having too few centreman was to massively oversteer and draft nothing but. I think there is some arrogance that any centre can be converted into just as good a winger but not vice versa. As a result we have ended up with a group of forwards that are basically all centres.
  19. I think the difference between them is very arguable. Saad had the nickname mini Hossa for a reason. But then I know I have a bias for 200 foot players. Still, goals prevented is not really a stat that is easily captured.
  20. Cost and ice-time I guess? The only team that really runs that way (putting crap wingers on great centres) is Pittsburgh, so are Eichel, Reinhart and ROR equal to or better than Malkin and Crosby?
  21. That reduces his defensive responsibilities and in turn reduces his effectiveness. ROR is better than Reinhart, so you either put Reinhart on the wing and hope he develops into a better player enough to push his way into the centre. Or you give him the centre job and accept for some period of time we will be a team that is playing below the level it could be
  22. ROR is our best centre. Eichel is better offensively but no where near as good defensively. Reinhart is worse both offensively and defensively. He may (and probably will) improve, but that doesn't mean there is space for him 60 point ROR > 70 Reinhart
