  1. Austria qualifies as they head into OT tied at 2. Schütz und Gogulla played yes. The refs were not as bad as Vanek made them sound like :P
  2. It's not NHL but Olympics qualifer this weekend. RIght now its Austria vs. Germany tied after 40 minutes at 1. Germany needs win in regulation to qualify for Sochi2014. So its either Sulzer and Ehrhoff or Vanek watching the olympics on TV.
  3. According to Adrian Dater, the Avs and O'Reilly can't agree on terms so he might be traded. Still a very very rumour.
  4. I am pretty suprised to read some comments here... If someone is not seeing the progress they made yesterday, then they should change the sport... haha ... Communication out there was a lot better. And by a lot I mean by miles. All 4 lines had their moments and all 4 lines provided offense. They won the battles along the board more often then they used to in the first few games. Faceoffs were a lot better as well (34:29). They created scoring chances and came back from a 2:4 deficit. Outside the Boston game, that was the best game of the season and it would have been that even if they lost it. I've seen many good things last night and I hope they continue to play like that. Montreal's first goal was a perfect shot, nothing you can do about. On the 2nd goal someone lost his man and on the 4th Stafford lost the puck. Stuff like that happens, but then again overall that was a good game and a huge improvement.
  5. You can all join my german lessons. Saturday and Sunday 5 am ;)
  6. Without a doubt for me. As a Fan I am watching those games even if they are dead last in the league.
  7. This Faceoff Sh*t is driving me nuts. This is even worst than losing Briere and Drury a couple of years back. If they would have taken a look at their team in the summer they would have noticed that. Thats just a bad job done in the off-season.
  8. I think the biggest problem for him right now is the speed. Not the speed on the ice while skating, but the decision making, There was a great example in the first period against ottawa. he got the puck from behind the net, looked up tried to break out of the zone. His opponent was already there to poke-check him but he wasnt ready for it and it almost turned into a huge turnover. His skills is without a doubt fantastic but there are still some things he needs to adjust to.
  9. ok guys... I think once again (like Boston) this is a game where no one thinks we have a shot to win it. so lets do this.
  10. Solid guy. Knows what he can do and what he can not do. Isnt forcing everything and rarely with gigantic mistakes. I think he is the typ of guy "Coach if you need me I'll be there." As of now, I feel comfortable with him out there.
  11. haha thanks. I already got some nice pictures for March ;)
  12. By the way it's Buffalo. Of course Stafford will be suspended. Kaleta and Gerbe and Pominville can get hit into the boards from behind that's ok.. But what Stafford did is terrible. Thats a 29 game ban.
  13. On my way to work right now. Gotta say with a BIG smile on my face. :-D
  14. I know many will disagree but the way this game was played so far, I can understand why Grigo had so little icetime. Makes sense today
  15. I just dont like hipsters. I hate them with passion. You just dont wear a scarf or wollen hat in the club.
  16. I didnt see it right away either. Foligno jumped him and by the way they celebrated I thought must be Grigo, but I couldnt see the number on the jersey.
  17. I think the players you mentioned will be around in a few years although I doubt that girgensons will be NHL ready next year...
  18. Thats a 2+2? By that standards teams should have had 37 pp opp each this game
  19. You could see it to be honest. in that game vs. washington there was a situation were gerbe was racing back to his own zone to pick up the puck and he got almost caught by the wsh player despite starting a few feet ahead. He couldnt go full speed.
  20. I would like to see Foligno in the crease on the PP. Like Tomas Holmström did it.
  21. Yeah his offensive skills arent spectacular however with 3 forwards on the ice, he is usually the one backing up the other 2. Same in washington... Foligno and Grigo turned up the heat and Hecht made sure to be the first one back. Its his 10th season with the sabres and hecht only had 1 season in which he finished with negativ +/- stats. In the past Pominville or Briere had Hecht on their line as a defensive aspect. edit: Actually in his entire career he only had one negative season. (not counting his first one in which he played 3 games.
  22. On the atmosphere I still think it was not good in the first 2 games and there will be many leafs fans tonight, If they are louder than the sabres fans for 60 minutes... Wow that would be embarrassing. So whoever visits the game tonight, please yell, clap and shout as loud as your can.
  23. Sabres would be stupid to send him back and it would be even worst if they scratch him.
