Finally watched Suicide Squad last night. Holy moly, what a catastrophe that was. It may be among the worst movies I've ever seen.

I could live to be 115 and never be as right about anything as I was about O'Reilly. It may be the lone feather in my cap, but it's a damn good one!

Which is why I wince every time people want to spend millions on non-elite wingers. Tarasenko? Yea, gimme. But your run of the mill 20 goal 50 point guy? No thanks.

This could probably go here, the TV/movies thread, and the awesome thread....but probably will have the best audience here. Netflix is going to make a series based on The Witcher books. I'm beyond excited. They're some of my favorite RPGs of all time, and the books (which I didn't read until after I played the games) are also fantastic--gritty, dark, brutal high fantasy. Think GoT, but possibly more vicious. Seriously giddy right now.

I care because I like to be entertained. Of course winning is the end goal for the coach, but for the league, it's an entertainment product. Sort of like when a crappy movie makes a bunch of money...the director, actors, and studio did their job, I suppose, in a very machiavellan sense. But they also didn't do their job, y'know?

So, uh, I think Ottawa may win this game.

Or more Seabrook than Keith. Running mate on a top pair rather than the guy driving the pair. I think this is pretty likely.

The Oilers totally dicked his development. He could still be perfectly fine long term, but I think they set his timetable back.

As a kid, I was constantly waiting for Phantasy Star IV to drop below $100 because my parents flat refused to pay that much for a game. Then when we got our first home PC, I discovered emulators :D

I've been thinking about the Fleury angle. Not that I'm keen on acquiring him, but I wonder how much Pittsburgh is willing to pay a team to take him so they can protect Murray.

I always forget about Fasching. He could also be a decent fit in the Carrier role on Eichel's line.

Yea, something like that is a good starting skeleton. Eichel with a skilled plumber and a finisher, Reinhart with two speedy scorers, and O'Reilly with balance. That's my framework for lines, move names around as you see appropriate within it.

I really like the potential fit of Baptiste if Nylander isn't ready. Think Carrier is a nice fit for the plumber on the line.

This gets me mad all over again. For as much as Bylsma shuffled lines, it's amazing how many combinations we didn't see for any real time.

My 2 cents: I think Okposo likes to have the puck too much to love his fit with Eichel. He and Eichel didn't have enough time together last year to draw any conclusions, but I don't remember it looking too good.

For how many years was "it's hard to play with Crosby" a narrative? Only unlike most, I think it had validity. Playing with a puck dominant player is not easy, even if the puck dominant player is the best on the world and the winger is great in his own right.

I haven't watched a lick of the Worlds this year, but every time I watch him play in an international tourney, he's way too deferential. And as we all know, passive Eichel can be ugly. He needs to be dominating the puck.

Josh Gorges was a top-4 regular. There's nothing irrational about putting Antipin in as his replacement. Low bar baby! :p

Indeed. the AAV is fine, but that term is brutal.
