Yes. Yyyeeeessss. Let the optimism flow through you! -
People like him should have their membership revoked. The worst.

If Nylander doesn't show anything this tournament, I'll officially be worried. And I say that as someone who has been borderline an apologist for him this far. -

 I love this tournament. -
This just isn't right. Watch more NFL games. Yes. Would I want to bet on him? No. But in a world where Joe Flacco can win multiple games en route to a championship, Tyrod can win one.
-
One can disagree with your assessment of Tyrod while also wanting to get better there.
-
Is there anyone on the planet that doesn't want a better QB?
-
Maybe in a purely literal sense, but I think culturally mediocre is like a backhanded version of average. And when we're talking about this during a game, you know how it's going
-
Average. I hate kicking here. Hate it. And of course we miss.
-
This is normally what happens when the play is a fullback screen or TE throwback. He's had some bad plays, sure, but that doesn't totally negate his positive ones.
-
I didn't say great or perfect.
-
Can we shoot Dennison into outer space? Why did we stop giving it to McCoy? And then follow up a huge loss with a give to Tolbert? Good lord. Wah? Tyrod has been pretty good today.
-
Because it works once every 40 tries! Basically where I'm at.
-
I'd trade Okposo regardless of what happens with Kane. I want that goddamn contract gone.
-
How the can they overturn that? How the ? There is no goddamn way there was conclusive evidence.
-
Average. The word you're looking for is average.

IMO comments like this just support what I've long felt: much of the love of the original trilogy is nostalgia-driven. Many hardcore Star Wars fans are literally incapable of accepting anything that isn't the originals. It's why reaction was so positive to The Force Awakens: it was essentially A New Hope redux.

Chad Johnson is not good at stopping hockey pucks. -
His first two years shouldn't cease to exist because he's sucked this year so far. At this point I've pretty much accepted he's a) not a center and b) not what you'd like from a #2 overall pick in that he won't be the driving force on his own line. However, I don't see any compelling evidence that he can't be a good mid-40 point winger who can make skilled players he plays with more effective. He was that for two seasons. I'm sure people here can find some examples, but it has to be exceedingly rare for a player to increase production from year 1 to year 2 (with both years being above 40 points) and then play themselves out of the league. Reinhart likely won't ever be what we want and, in the context of the rebuild needed him to be, but he shouldn't be flung overboard either.
-
Please no. I wish the NFL would abolish the 40.
-
Those willing to go 7 years $7.5M per are, in my valuation, keeping him at all costs. YMMV. This is essentially my view as well. I suspect that he'll simply command more than I'm willing to pay. I'd be willing to flex some upwards if we could offload one of our albatrosses in Okposo or Bogosian.
-
Agree 100%. That line did some great work. Also agree with this. His speed is not an asset, and maybe it is part of what ultimately prevents him from being an effective NHL center. But it's certainly adequate. He's not Larsson skating out there.
-
I'm not about to blame Kane for not being on winning teams. I do, however, feel he's a bit of an awkward fit as a core piece given the shortcomings of his game. He remains a player I'd like to keep. I just don't want to keep him at all cost.

Ristolainen Has Yet To Break Up Any Entry Carry In
TrueBlueGED replied to WildCard's topic in The Aud Club
Utility of this particular stat aside, I'm not surprised. One of Risto’s principle defensive shortcomings is the ease at which he gives up the blue line. I haven't noticed it being as egregious this year as in years past, but it's still a problem.
