Scary stuff happened in the Denmark - Finalnd match. Danish player colapsed on the pitch. Taken to hospital and is recovering. Both sides approached officials and the match has continued. Score is still nil - nil, but Denmark has had the edge in play. EDIT TO UPDATE: Finland has scored in the 59th minute. Now in the 65th minute.

The group of death will see the death of Portugal inspite of CR7. Hungary has a chance, but I expect France and Germany to make it through.

Wales and Switzerland drew 1 -1 in the early match. A good result for Wales, I think. Many think they will make it through Group A with Italy. Up soon will be Denmark and Finland. I think the Danes could win this match, but expect another draw. Later this afternoon we have Belgium and those Russians. I expect nothing much from Russia this tournament. I think they are down a player to COVID for this match. I expect a big win for Belgium. Shout out to @Huckleberry ... *I'm your huckleberry* Looking forward ... tomorrow we should see a good ol' fashioned beat down on England courtesy of Croatia.

Group F is the 'Group of Death'. I think most everyone would agree. France (World Cup holder) and Germany are powerhouse Euro sides. Hungary is very good and Portugal is holder and has CR7.

Great start for Italy, but Turkey was expected to be the group A turkey. Some are thinking they are favourites to win this Euro. No possible way that I see that happening.

Just started a topic in the football / soccer club for EURO 2020 (2021) ...

After a year delay Turkey and Italy kick of EURO 2020 tomorrow. I have not followed enough to really see who will come out on top. The Leaves have flaws and are terrible in the playoff. Jets are not a great team. Neither of your points really changes mine and no one really thought that Montreal had much chance to beat either. I agree that Colorado and Vegas are great teams, but I still give Montreal a good chance to beat either and I believe they will.

No one thought they would beat the Leaves. No one thought they would beat the Jets. Colorado and Vegas are both a lot better than the Leaves and Jets, but I will not give up on the Habs. This seems to be a special year, like in '93. 2 main reason they have a reasonably good chance are Price and Weber. The supporting cast is playing great playoff hockey. And their coach has them prepared very well and is an excellent coach. He coached the Mooseheads to the Memorial Cup in 2013.

I am not sure if many people know what herd immunity really means. Sorry, @Doohickie, but there is no possible way to achieve herd immunity with 40 - 50 % vaccination rates. I don't see COVID being very different than any other virus in that regard.

Why? My wife is from Montreal and I have been a fan of them almost as long as I have of the Sabres. Sabres are and always will be my #1, but Montreal are and always will be my #2, but only when the Sabres are not playing. It's not like they are one of the dastardly duo, eh.

GO HABS!! I really am beginning to think that this is their year. Reminds me of '93 when no one gave them a chance and Roy was just lights out, especially in all those OT games, 3 of which were in the sweep of the Sabres, if I recall correctly. That was the 'May Day' playoff.

While I agree with everything here and I hate the Bruins as much as the next guy, but we have to come up with some other phrase than the bolded. Another poster pointed it out, probably in this thread, and I agree it just doesn't sit well. No offense to you, my friend.
