Like I said before, Pegula probably already has had some contacts with possible replacements. Wouldn't surprise me if there is VP of hockey operations sitting next to him tomorrow. That doesn't seem like Murray at all, its more likely he gave some honest answers about the rebuild taking another two years longer and then got fired. Really that 2014 draft screwed him over more than anything in my mind. Players from that draft should have been in Rochester by now.

And here we thought this off season would be boring :p

That 2014 draft really was bad though, except for Samson and Johansson. He drafted Lemieux whom they interviewed but didn't notice he didn't want to be in Buffalo. I wanted Barbashev instead of Lemieux. And the rest of that draft won't even make Rochester I think. 2015-2016 drafts are the ones we'll cash in. But they are 2 - 3 years away from becoming a sabre. (guhle excluded).

I want a gm that doesn't trade away our assets, a gm that lets the young guys develop that we drafted the last two years. And we really drafted some good young guys in later rounds. 2015 Guhle, Estephan, Borgen, Stephens. I think Stephens and Estephan will be in Rochester next year. 2016 Asplund and Pu might make our bottom 6 better , Fitzgerald and Hagel also doing well. 10 players in the last two drafts that have a reasonable shot at making the NHL, I hope the new GM will just let them develop. Guess Fenton of Nashville is my #1 choice.

I do like the Dudley - Fenton - Housley that some mentioned.

I kind of feel bad for murray, but both Rochester and Buffalo sucking again. If Rochester would have shown some promise he might have been able to stay. I do like the last two drafts he did, we got some good late round prospects coming up. If murray really backed Bylsma, then I'm not sad to see him go. And I really liked Murray, his honesty was refreshing and I liked his humour. Also wouldn't be surprised if Pegula already has a replacement GM in mind.

Fair enough but if Vanek and Pominville wanted to come back at a reasonable price. I'd want them both back.

Personally I don't feel there is a need to fire Murray. The only thing I can fault him is taking on Bogo and his contract. Well Moulson's 5 year deal could have been a year shorter :p

Just finished watching westworld. Anthony hopkins was great as always. Next season will be made in 2018 if there is going to be a next one, open ending and they could just leave it as is. I Guess with such a cast you can't expect them to do this every year.

The leafs rebuild has been going on longer than ours. The last 3 drafts with marner, nylander and matthews, pushed Kadri and Bozak down a line. Basically thier bottom 6 is producing and ours is not. And they have been drafted since 2010. Its mainly Girgensons and Ennis, along with Moulson and Deslauriers whom have been dissapointing 5v5.

No he wasn't, he was happy to come here, but the way the season went for him I can understand him not wanting to hang around any more. Sometimes you just need to restart your career somewhere else.

Just read the article and to be honest I want my star player to question the coach and his tactics. A good coach can handle that. Maybe he could use some media training, but calling a 19 year old kid out about that is kind of dumb. And this well, If he did say those things, he didn't say anything different than most on this board.
