  1. I love me some Ryan Miller... especially since we share the same name & I've had the chance to hang out with him & his brother, father & mother a few times. I will always have a special place in my heart for Millsy. I do think Miller deserves to be honored in some way, but i don't believe he deserves to have his number retired... AT ALL! Especially not when theres other players who perhaps deserve it more. Like 1 of the Ramseys/Ramsays or Andreychuk (dare i say Housley) haha But in terms of Sabres history & our record books, i do think that he deserves something. Maybe a nice commemorative plaque somewhere? Franchise leader in goaltender games (540) Franchise leader in goaltender minutes (31,661) Franchise leader in career wins (284) Franchise record for most wins in a season (41 in 2009–10)
  2. Oh boy... Tbh I don't really expect too much from it. Probably just an update on Jack's health & the usual quick summary of the season & "we need to be better" stuff. But I'll spice things up a bit 😛 Coincidentally this video popped up on my YT feed just now: Anyone see Jack being moved this summer as more of a possibility? Last year i would've said hell no but now it feels up in the air. Feels like anything is on the table & given our history I suppose it should be.
  3. almost spit out my drink reading this. Multiple coaches play Sam at wing. Us fans exhaust each other with the Center/Wing debate for years. Granato takes the reigns.... "yeah i like him at Center" And just like that Sabrespace lore is altered forever. What a day, 1st its 4/20, then dogecoin & now this? Wait, maybe that explains it, maybe Granato is celebrating too hard today? Sam a Center? You don't say 😛
  4. No rookies & no idiots seems like something we would've shot for from the start.... Here's to better luck this time!
  5. My Sabres goal for this game is for us not to give Vladar his 1st Career NHL Shutout. LETS GO BOYS!
  6. I just finished watching the game. I took a screenshot of the stream i was watching, right as the buzzer sounded to end the game. Really speaks a thousand words Thank the Gods Reinhart when he went down wasn't seriously hurt too, bcuz we would've had another: "Lowest Moment to be a Sabres fan" after the one last week
  7. I agree. But i also remember most of us saying the same thing about RFK vs the coaches that came before him. But it makes total sense this would be the case with Granato, as he should be able to relate & speak to the boys better, for all thats worth.
  8. Ulmark goes down, we traded Johannson, Hutton goes down. Welcome to the party Dustin Tokarski! Go show em what you can do!
  9. Okposo being benched (regardless if its for injury) is the best Sabres news ive heard all day. I do hope he's alright & back to 100%, but i'd like to see someone else in that spot. Asplund > Okposo always at this point. Looking to see if theres any signs of life out there tonight GO SABRES!
  10. Everytime i think we're reached the lowest point, we end up going even lower. I thought the bankruptcy & team almost moving was the lowest point. The tank years were the lowest point. Last year was the lowest point. Last month. These past 2 weeks. I just hope this lowest point today is really the lowest point & the only place we can go next is up. I'm mad as hell & can't take it anymore
  11. Casey DeSmith doing his part to give the BILLS the win
  12. 2 words come to mind when i see that lineup: HOCKEY HEAVEN!!! GO SABRES!
  13. But at the same time, when we face another teams backup goaltender, isn't that when they usually get their 1st career shutout? We can't even really count on that with this team lol
  14. Honestly i dont know what else one could expect. Its been a trying start to the season (to understate it), you finally score to make it a 2 goal game & well, I wouldnt expect the boys to be going around like its Chariots of Fire or something. Of course we'd like to see more energy or passion out there, but surely theres bigger things to focus on than how high Olofsson's teammates lifted their sticks after a goal? Dont mean for that to sound confrontational or anything, just saying haha Regardless we need to have some success out there quick before the whole season implodes
  15. I hear that all the time but Bill Belichick is known to put his players thru hell to toughen them up, he was pretty successful. You look at what the BILLS are doing with their "process" & culture. I don't think its hard to make the leap that if you want a hard working team, they need to practice like a hard practicing team. You can't be all soft & coaxing to your players & then expect them to be dogs & go thru walls for you. I think the best coaches would have elements of both in them, knowing when to be good cop/bad cap so to speak. But our teams have been soft & weak & low effort for years it seems now. Perhaps thats because our coaches arent more like a Torts... idk. At this point i think we're all lost on what to do. All these years of losing becomes too much after awhile
  16. here's the play if ur curious:
  17. What is that, 3 commercials in the past 3 minutes? lol
  18. Sam back from the locker room & on the ice... Good sign
  19. Can't wait to see how our Sabres look tomorrow when RaKru starts coaching, we should be in for a treat!
  20. anyone needs help with streams for the games, send me a pm
  21. Washington has been one of the better teams in the league for years, Sabres have been one of the worst. And this game is following that script to a T.
  22. My thoughts on the advertising are at least its subtle & the ad isnt like what you see overseas where the ad is placed right smack on their forehead. This is probably as good as it could get imo
  23. And so ends the dream & years of forum threads/posts about how we should try to get Cirelli. or does it?.... Great deal for Tampa on a team friendly contract... must be nice
  24. none. You obviously have never bought a superyacht 😛 I have no idea on how much the one cost that they were recently building, but the one they previously owned, called Top Five had a price of $18,000,000.
  25. Great day by Patterson, heck great season so far. 1st rb to rush for back to back 300+ yard games since Ricky Williams did it in 1996. Its a shame that coach pulled him before he was able to break both those records. But watching the interview after the game, Patterson is a class act. Mentioned all his teammates & said all he cared about was the win. Really impressed by this kid. Patterson for the Heisman!
