  1. Wow, they must have really wanted to get rid of ROR
  2. Nice summary! Glad we have him for awhile. Does this mean we just have him for two years, or will he be RFA?
  3. Moore to the Bruins The Boston Bruins have signed defenceman John Moore to a five-year, $13.75 million contract. The 27-year-old scored seven goals and 11 assists during the 2017-2018 regular season, and added one helper during the postseason for the New Jersey Devils. The deal carries a $2.75 million AAV.
  4. To quote another 70's movie, "We're going to need a bigger boat"
  5. I'm glad we don't have to reach and sign some older vet to a long term deal. So much hinges on where a team is in relation to making a run, age of players and how much of a chance a team is willing to take on a vet who might not be playing in a few years.
  6. I was actually thinking of starting a thread on if those Sabres teams with Hasek didn't have Hasek, how bad would they have been? Lol. Hopefully Hutton is a big improvement.
  7. Vanes would have worked well with Jack.
  8. Good/excellent goaltending can really make a huge difference. This is good
  9. The Easter Bunny is a good penalty killer, just sayin
  10. Yes, if you look back at the 1966 mid terms that southern strategy was employed and has been going strong since.
  11. Try one pinned thread. Make it clear it stays in there and does not bleed onto rest of the board. "What happens in politics thread, stays in the politics thread"
  12. Ok, for what it is worth here are my observations from this morning: I got there just after the first session began and only stayed until the end of that session. Two goalies, UPL and Kielly were on my near side working with several coaches mostly on short side stuff and quick passes in front. Put a lot of emphasis on covering post. UPL gobbled up a rebound and drilled it past Kielly and raised his stick and we cheered. The skaters were are working on skating and puck handling skills. An assistant coach who looked like Brian Gionta was running them. He had them doing things like holding their sticks in their wrong hands and stick handling up ice, stick handling with two pucks--once separately and once where they kept the pucks together. The coach kept emphasizing for them to use their thighs or to squat more. In one drill he had them try and keep the puck right on the line, but to touch it as they went sideways stopping and starting. Nice drill, so they stop and start quickly. Some of the players did all these things easily while others had trouble keeping up. Then they pulled the nets to the bluelines and played three on three close in hockey. If the puck was lost a coach just fired another one in. They made quick changes and it was fun to watch. Middelstad and Ausplund played together and looked very good together, like they had played together before. They scored a goal really quickly and then made some nice plays after that. Pilut was the other player that stood out. He isn't big but if he can handle the physical stuff he looks like a real talent. Like I said earlier, Borgen was a real prick and will get in a fight in one of these camps. He plays like Risto. Did not get to see Dahlin, as he was in second half and Pu just isn't there I guess.
  13. Borden isn't here to make any friends. Very physical
  14. Made it! Pilut looks really good
  15. When Bogo gets hurt, I think Hunwick gets the call. But this is the guy who got beat out by Reuwedal so, maybe not...
  16. Is she hot? Most goalies are crazy, so is she crazy hot?
  17. I'm going to predict that Hunwick is the bigger acquisition here. He was injured last season and I bet he fits in well here and is a solid guy shoring up the lower part of the order. Sheary will be beat out by Baptiste for the spot next to Eichel eventually and Sheary won't take to his role as bottom six.
