  1. Tomorrow they are on! I got NHL network last night and watched Washington and Boston play ?
  2. I'd be way happy if he was better than Hasek, but I'm not counting on it. That's pretty hard to beat
  3. I was surprised to Guhle still in the prospects game. Is this a bad sign?
  4. No. In fact, perhaps, Trump in all his extreme incompetence and ignorance, represents the fact that the bureaucratic state is in fine form and can run on its own in peaceful times. Let's see--or hopefully not!--what happens when a recession hits, a foreign policy crisis emerges or some other disaster. Trump sure picked the right time to be president, so far. WE have been through many worst times, much worse. And hopefully we can look back on all this is a few years and laugh.
  5. Did the goalie make the save on that play? The face off was in the zone afterwards, so Nylander must of hit him with the shot before it went out of play
  6. So was that hit on Pominville by Hjalmarsson legal? I thought he hit him hard but legally. Still got two games https://bleacherreport.com/articles/489704-hjalmarssons-hit-on-pominville-physical-or-dirty
  7. I think I remember him scoring the last goal of the 1990 playoffs! https://www.nbcsports.com/chicago/blackhawks/finding-joe-murphy-former-blackhawk-and-no-1-overall-pick-homeless Joe Murphy is a former No. 1 overall pick, two-time 30-goal scorer and Stanley Cup champion. He's also now homeless living on the streets of Northern Ontario, which TSN revealed in a recent documentary titled, 'Finding Murph.' He spent 15 seasons in the NHL, four of which were with the Blackhawks from 1992-96, and helped the Edmonton Oilers win a title in 1990. But the following season in 1991, Murphy's life began to change after taking a violent body check along the boards from Detroit Red Wings forward Shawn Burr. "I do remember that he got hit very hard, to the point that I hadn't seen him have a reaction like this before," Murphy's ex-wife Julie said. "Yeah, I definitely noticed changes," Murphy's sister Cathy said. "He was starting to do erratic things."
  8. I wouldn't of cared, either one would be nice, both would be way better than '99. I thought the hockey of the late nineties was so boring! Hasek was great, but a lot of those games were snoozers if you ask me. We went from the fun of LaFontaine-Mogilney to 223 straight minutes of scoreless hockey every other week. 1993 would have been great if if if if LaFontain Mogilney and Hasek had all been healthy together.
  9. The team plays with more intensity when he is out there?? Not sure I admit to that
  10. Nice surprise if he is good, but not counting on it
  11. EDINA, Minn. – No matter if you're a coach, a fan, a teammate – or an internet troll – Zach Bogosian has a message for you. He's ready. He knows you've heard that before. But this time, after hip surgery, he really means it. https://buffalonews.com/2018/08/02/mike-harrington-healthy-bogosian-wants-to-fast-forward-the-summer-and-get-to-camp/ well ok!
  12. Playing Skinner with Mitts makes the most sense. Eichel needs someone to get him the puck, and I'm not sold on him being the Adam Oats like set up man. Down the raod a bit it might be Mitts being the set up man for Jack.
  13. Nothing yet, I mean salary, cap space if its a long term deal.
  14. I'm totally fine with what we gave up, I'm just worried about what we give up going forward. But if he performs and scores, it will be all good
  15. I get that, but you can never prove "long term." Signing big deals has a way of deactivating motivation for many people. He will be playing like its a contract year
  16. I'm cool with that. Anything longer and I'd try and trade him at deadline, which will be difficult if we are in running to make playoffs. If we have to let him walk, so be it. I'd almost be afraid of him doing too well (40 goals +) and wanting a huge deal that would be a millstone about our necks for a decade. No thanks!
  17. I honestly don't know what to think of this trade. Glad we got a goal scorer for this year. Don't feel we gave up too much, but where does it go from here? I'm not into throwing the bank at this guy. I hope this isn't a situation where we are fighting for last playoff spot so we have to keep him and then he signs with another team and we get nothing...and miss playoffs anyway. And if we give him a seven year deal for seven million and he fizzles two years from now, that will really suck. He will want a long term deal, not sure I'd be willing to do that.
