  1. In all honesty, that is probably more likely. The odds are probably against landing great players. But I'd guess the odds of keeping the picks and being successful are better than trading them away for players. If that makes any sense. Yes, increasing the odds
  2. Much of how we evaluate JBott will probably rest on how well these picks turn out.
  3. I went back to 2014 and looked at what teams got in the second half of the first round, where we will probably be drafting two of those players, and there are some really great players. No way I trade these picks. Dylan Larkin, Pasternak, Tuch and probably more that I am just not familure with. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/2014_NHL_Entry_Draft
  4. Starting against the Bruins is sort of high stakes. It will be emotional, I think everyone hates them. It will be a big emotional lift to start the season if we win but a real bummer if we lose at home with that Rat Marchand scoring late to win or something. Hopefully Chara has lost another step and our quick forwards force him to cough up the puck. I could see a let down from the young team after a big win against Boston. I'll take a win against Boston and loss to Rangers and be happy. Anything, just beat the Bruins!
  5. I never said anything about impeachment. I said he did obstruct justice. Technically he could be impeached for that, but it's been my opinion for the whole time that there had to be a reason he obstructed justice. If he was just being an ignorant idiot and shot from the hip and fired Comey just because, then I wouldn't move to impeach if I had the power, like Thomas Jefferson said, you suffer while evils are sufferable. The question is, as you went on to speculate, as we all must at this point, is why? If they find nothing, then I don't think he will be impeached. Lots of circumstantial evidence, and Trump is very much acting guilty, IMO, but hopefully we shall find out for sure. Or maybe not! I doubt he can ever be convicted by the Senate anyway. But the public deserves to know as much as possible.
  6. Splitting hairs. Investigating him or his campaign and/or administration. Yes, Trump's argument has been that Comey said that, but that's weak. You agree there was an investigation going on that Trump was very upset about, right?
  7. He cleared a room and asked Comey to lay off Flynn when they were alone. After having Attorney General and others leave room. You have knocked down no claims at all. He he totally obstructed justice
  8. It's totally rock solid. If he was obstructing justice to protect Flynn that is still obstructing justice.
  9. No, not me with a petition. As as to the statement of Comey, that makes zero difference at all. His campaign was under investigation, and even members of his administration. Trump had pressured Comey about that in a very inappropriate manner.
  10. Vote recount? Don't remember saying that. Not sure what Comey said, I know Trump said Comey said that. So what I think you are saying is that Trump didn't think he was under investigation? And firing Comey was just something that came up for other reasons? Is that your point?
  11. Firing FBI director who was investigating him because he was investigating him. He admitted that. There is more, but that's enough right there.
  12. The last indictment basically said he colluded. It mentions -- though does not specifically name- Roger Stone as the person Glucifer 2.0 talked to and passed the stolen documents to. Stone often talked to Trump, so Mueller seems to be closing in. Stone has acknowledged he is the person in the indictment. Just one more piece of the puzzle. The sucking up to Putin just seems to make the allegation of being compromised seem very legit. Perhaps the next round of indictments will hit even closer to home (Don jr?) If Mueller is able to get that much detail and knowledge about the operation he probably knows a lot more.
  13. Just curious why you are asking me? Are you actually interested in the topic but not interested enough to go find something out? Do you know anything at all about the topic? Can't you simply look up the topic and read on it?
  14. If I was betting, I'd go with alcohol. Alcohol is the source of more tragedies than most other things put together
  15. This sucks, so sad. I thought he was a good guy. I saw he is only 35 in a news article?? That can't be right, can it? Ya, that fight against Marty was classic and he could have killed Marty if he wanted to
  16. He obviously obstructed justice, but he won't be impeached for that. Why was he obstructing justice, though? That's the real question.
  17. He is just horrible. Is he really going to still meet with Putin?
  18. He shot a puck in his own net once to loose a series against Calgary, that's this guy, right?
  19. How far out of public opinion can the court go? Even super Conservative Ireland saw the voters ok abortion. The GOP is nauseous right now at the thought of an unelected court criminalizing something like that. I'm a liberal Democrat and the court thing does not have me too worried. Maybe it should, but, if the court starts declaring every single law the Democrats pass unconstitutional then there will be change to the court. There is no set limit to court members. Jefferson, Lincoln and others have added judges. If these judges get to crazy, they can be diluted. I doubt it comes to that though.
  20. It's now or never, right? These guys have either earned the chance or just not cut it. I imagine both of them are feeling like they need to start showing they belong or it's time to move on
